On July 30, 1978, duringthe Governor's 20 Match inJackson, AL, Sgt. James E.Collins of the Alabama StatePolice fired a 1500-126X toestablish a new national record. Thisis the first time that a competitor fired a perfectscore in registered competition of this type. Theprevious record also had been set by Sgt. Collins, who is atwo-time National Police Combat Pistol Champion. Sgt. Collinsused Federal 38 match wadcutter ammunition in setting thenew record, and uses Federal in all his competitive shooting. His reason? "Consistency. Round after round, lot after lot."Isn't that the kind of consistently accurate performanceyou'd like? Look for the red box with the familiar diagonalstripes. It's your assurance of Federal quality. The Precision PeopleFEDERAl.:CARTRIDGEMINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA 55402AMERICAN HANDGUNNER . JULY / AUGUST 1979 59
