DCS Achievement Coaching Team Operational Structure 2012-2013
Structure Rationale
To maximize effectiveness in providing critical supports to all schools, each member of the DCS
Coaching Team will be assigned a portfolio of schools and will serve as their assigned schools’
primary contact for all coaching needs. Lead Achievement Coaches will maintain the overall
responsibility of their designated district focus (i.e. District-Wide Early College, Common
Core/Essential Standards, Data Analysis) by creating professional development materials and
content within their respective areas and providing that to the DCS Achievement Coaching Team
and/or DCS Curriculum Team for delivery within all schools and to district administrators.
Achievement Coaches will support the development of professional development materials and
content as needed, and share in the responsibility of delivering professional development to schools
and to district administrators. In the event that support is needed in providing professional
development and coaching to any school in a coach’s portfolio, one or more members of the DCS
Achievement Coaching Team will be asked provide that support.
