ON-ROAD WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RULES.Dear MembersFollowing receipt of all Blocs’ votes, it is advised that the two proposals relating to the schedules for the IFMAR 1/8 th ,1/10 th 200mm and 1/5 th I.C. On-road World Championship events have been approved. All three events will nowcommence on the Saturday instead of Thursday and the tracks must be closed from the previous Wednesday to Friday,i.e. a total of three days. Details of the rule changes and voting are set out below.Also, these changes will result in a new schedule (see Rule 2.2) and new dates for the <strong>2005</strong> IFMAR 1/5 th and 1/8 th OnroadWorld Championships: -IFMAR 1/5 th W.C. – Saturday, August 20 to Sunday, August 28, <strong>2005</strong>IFMAR 1/8 th W.C. – Saturday, September 3 to Sunday, September 11, <strong>2005</strong>.Please distribute this information to your members as soon as possible.Many thankscc IFMAR V.P.John Grant, IFMAR I.C. Thetrack surface should be prepared so that good quality practice will be obtained when practice commences. This may beachieved by a spraying and/or cleaning of the track surface, as required. Frequency controlled practice will notnormally be changed but may be if, because of unforeseen circumstances, the Team Managers’ Committee votes to doso with approval from the International Jury.
