She was a jury memberof international harp competitions in the UnitedKingdom, Serbia, and Japan in 2008. Winner of numerousinternational and national competitions, firstprizes in the two highest divisions of the AmericanHarp Society’s National Competition launched hermusical career. Dedicated to harp repertoire expansion,she premiered her transcription of J.S. Bach’sGoldberg Variations at Carnegie Hall as a winner ofArtists International and has given numerous worldpremiere performances, most recently of interactivemulti-media works for harp. Her students includeinternational and national prizewinners, a FulbrightScholar, and the innovative and edgy ensemble, TheHarpCore 4. Editor of the World Harp Congress Reviewsince 2002, author of scholarly articles publishedin the American Harp Journal, the United Kingdom HarpAssociation, and the Association Internationale des Harpisteset des Amis de la Harpe in France and a contributingauthor to the American String Teachers Association’sbook, A Harp in the Schools, she is the harp professorand Chair of the String Division at the University ofIllinois at Urbana-Champaign where she conducts anannual Summer Harp Class at Illinois in early June.37
