SPECIAL PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION<br />
Co-initiator and Co-director of AAHPERD's national video contest for all videos with a<br />
sport, health, recreation, physical education, or dance theme. Over 60 videos have been<br />
entered each year. Participants include Nabisco, Tampax, Hersheys, US Tennis Asso, and<br />
a variety of colleges, universities, public schools, private enterprises and television<br />
stations.<br />
Initiator and co-director of AAHPERD's "Reading of Poetry, Song, and Creative Prose".<br />
Entries are also juried and then published in the Sport Art Academy Newsletter.<br />
Initiator and co-coordinator of an information sharing tour with a black South African<br />
physical education and dance professor. Selected the grantee, solicited funds from five<br />
major universities, two colleges, a regional and a national professional organization to<br />
participate in the exchange.<br />
