The Blue Jackets hold the distinction as the first team in the National Hockey Leagueto have its practice rink located at the same location where it plays its games. This unique configuration has since been used as a model fornew NHL buildings.The OhioHealth Ice Haus is a 63,000-square foot facility located on the west side of Nationwide Arena. It contains four separate team lockerrooms and one officials’ room. As the practice home of the Blue Jackets and the official home rink of the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets Tier 1 AAAhockey program and several central Ohio high school teams, the OhioHealth Ice Haus features fixed seating for 750 people and an overallcapacity of 1,500.In addition, the facility is also used for youth hockey, figure skating, public skating and private rentals.
