...to choose1 Decide if you require a kit, or bespoke service.(Kits are generally available ex-stock.)2 Choose a suitable jaw width and clamping forcethat will best fit the range of parts you will bemachining.3 Decide on a suitable pitching of jaws (egcomponent width + cutter size + clearance), anddetermine if this is best fitted to a 50mm, 60mm,75mm or 100mm pitching of t-slot. (Rememberthat intermediate or offset positions are possiblefor the clamping elements.)4 Decide on the likely maximum number of partsyou will need to hold.5 Choose a size of baseplate or kit, eithermatched to the number of clamping stationsrequired, or by the size of your machineenvelope or pallet size.6 Choose accessory jaws.If you are not sure of the ideal size of MicroLoc foryour needs, just call us with some details of yourrequirements and we can provide a CAD layout foryou to consider.Locate the MicroLoc baseplate to your machineusing a pair of bore tenon adaptors. The 16mm boresin the baseplates are used for this purpose.If you are purchasing a kit you will need to mount thebaseplate either by using a minimum of six tableclamps around the perimeter, or alternatively providesome counterbored holes for M12 screws.
