Limited introduction of shadowing into listening classes for introductory and pre-intermediate levelstudents brought a favorable result in listening comprehension compared with regular listeningclasses where shadowing was not introduced. This result shows that as a training to enhancelistening ability shadowing has an advantage over conventional method, even though the qualityand the number of subjects in this study are very much limited and the implications of this studyshould be conditional.
