MEGT (Australia) LtdRecruitment Management System<strong>HOST</strong> TRAINING PLAN AGREEMENT (VIC)Company Name: ________________________________________________________________________Student Name: _________________________________________________________________________Trainer’s Name: ________________________________________________________________________Qualification: __________________________________________________________________________MEGT Institute agree to provide workplace training to the student, including the following services:• A flexible <strong>Training</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> developed to suit the needs of both the workplace and the student• Regular workplace visits (a minimum four face-to-face training visits per training year)• Monthly contact (via phone, email, fax, post etc.)<strong>Training</strong>:The trainer agrees to negotiate a suitable time for workplace visits. All parties (trainer, student and hostemployer) agree to provide reasonable notice should it be necessary to cancel a workplace visit.The student understands that when a workplace visit takes place, usually an assessment will be made – ifthe student is assessed as Not Yet Competent, opportunity for further training and re-assessment will beprovided. During these visits submissions are handed in, feedback is provided on previous submissionsincluding feedback around re-assessment, if required.The student understands that workplace visits are for the purpose of training support and assessment. Thetrainer agrees to provide reasonable forward notice of scheduled assessments and opportunities forclarification of requirements. The student agrees to make every attempt to be prepared for scheduledassessments and notify the trainer should circumstances prevent this.The host employer and the Trainee/Apprentice, under a Traineeship/Apprenticeship contract are aware that: There are two components of the Traineeship/Apprenticeship:o On-the-job; the host employer must provide appropriate supervision and training that will equipthe Trainee/Apprentice with the skills to work at your business.o Off-the-job; the Trainee/Apprentice must be allowed to attend campus based training sessionsin paid time, if necessary for the training being undertaken and/or allow the trainer access tothe student at pre-negotiated times for training and assessment purposes. Full-time government subsidised Trainees/Apprentices completing a Certificate III or above, undertakingsolely on-the-job training, must be withdrawn from routine work duties for a minimum of 3 hours perweek, averaged over a 4 week cycle for the purpose of undertaking *structured training/learning activities(pro-rata for part time). This is to be documented by the Trainee/Apprentice on a withdrawal form traininglog and signed by the Employer/Supervisor and Trainee/Apprentice and submitted to the trainer. Full-time government subsidised Trainees/Apprentices completing a Certificate II undertaking solely onthe-jobtraining, must be withdrawn from routine work duties for a minimum of 1.5 hours per week,averaged over a 2 month cycle for the purpose of undertaking *structured training/learning activities.
