Then I hear snorting as Butkus, my Englishbulldog, awakens.• Get ready for work in the dark so I don’t wake my wife, Leigh, while listening forlittle footsteps as my two kids (Sophia, 4, and Tye, 3) try to sneak into my spoton the bed.• Drive to the office and start my workday by talking about Michigan and TexasA&M sports news with Mike Mair.• Discuss current leasing efforts and market rumors with Greg Mondshine nextdoor as my laptop starts.• Start going over the e-mails from last night while making notes on my Skanskapocket card.• Leave for a design meeting at architect HOK’s office where we discuss facadeoptions, interior finishes and the marketing package for the office building projectI’m working on, West Memorial Place.• Have lunch during the HOK work session, and then head back to the Skanska office.• FaceTime with the kids prior to their afternoon nap in case I don’t make it homebefore their bedtime.• Discuss with Raylena Browning the current West Memorial Place design, how muchwe are spending on its foundations and what we feel inflation is going to do to my budget.• Provide Mike Mair with my thoughts on the investment model output for deals we areconsidering for our 3009 Post Oak Boulevard and West Memorial Place projects.• Finish editing a consultant’s professional services agreement and begin coding new invoices.• Make it home to take my kids to the lake around the corner from our house.
