The companyhas gone through several name changes over the pastthirty six years but the guiding principle has remained consistent:provide the customer with the highest level of quality in metalroofing and custom sheet metal work. When Gil Buxton closedhis original company in 1994, his three sons Dick, Tom and Larrystarted their own sheet metal firm which is now known as <strong>Buxcon</strong><strong>Sheet</strong> <strong>Metal</strong>. In addition to <strong>Buxcon</strong> <strong>Sheet</strong> <strong>Metal</strong> which specializesin commercial work, LTD <strong>Sheet</strong> <strong>Metal</strong> focuses on residential andSpecialty <strong>Metal</strong>s Fabrication supplies custom sheet metal worksuch as finials, domes and other special items.<strong>Buxcon</strong> and its predecessors have offered <strong>Berridge</strong> standingseam metal roofing since the mid 1980’s when Gil Buxton purchaseda <strong>Berridge</strong> Model SS-14 portable roll former. The abilityto site form straight and curved standing seam metal roofing hasprovided <strong>Buxcon</strong> with additional flexibility to better serve theircustomers. As Tom Buxton notes: “Site forming provides us withthe ability to produce according to our customer’s schedule -- notour supplier’s schedule!”In addition to their <strong>Berridge</strong> SS-14, <strong>Buxcon</strong> operates a fully-


12equipped machine shop with state of the art metal fabricating equipmentincluding two computerized folding machines, a shear, slitter and cutto-lengthline.
