4th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships 2013 – Dubai (UAE)August 26 – 31Accreditation and EntryThere are four important deadline dates for providinginformation to the OC and to participate in theChampionship.April 15, 2013first preliminary entry form to be sent to FINA & OCMay 15, 2013second preliminary entry form to be sent to FINA & OCJune 15, 2013final numeric entry, accommodation booking form andpayment to be sent to OCAugust 16, 2013deadline for the final nominated entry and accreditationforms (Team Summary, Individual Entry, Relay Entry, andTeam Official Accreditation forms) to be sent to FINANational Federations are to note the number of TeamOfficials (coaches, managers, chaperons, etc.) allowedin accordance with the number of athletes. A fee of100 USD$ will be payable for each approved additionalaccreditation pass.The OC will provide each National Federation with adedicated login details (USERNAME & PASSWORD) thatwill be used for the online system.Venue and ParticipantsThe event will be held at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed BinRashid Sports Complex.Built at an estimated cost of AED 1.1 billion (US $300m),the aim was to create a state-of-the-art venue that wouldput Dubai and the United Arab Emirates on the map asa location for aquatics, and this is exactly what has beenachieved. Covering 61 acres of Dubailand and located onthe Dubai Bypass Road, the complex is the largest indoorsporting facility in the city and has seating for 15,000spectators. It boasts two 50-metre pools, both withmoveable floors to allow conversion to the 25-metre poolused in any swimming events (long or short course), aswell as a diving pool.In a city already full of superlatives, the building’s strikingarchitecture ensures global recognition of the venue asa memorable and iconic facility in Dubai not only forOlympic-standard swimming and diving events but alsoas a truly world class multi-sports arena.
