Weddings Continued
We were a little short of space last
month so we didn't manage to include
all the wedding information we had.
Specialist Wedding and Event Florist
Elaine Lamont was unfortunate in that
her chosen photographs were not
included. Sorry Elaine! You can now
see examples of her wedding
bouquets. If you are interested, why
not have a chat with Elaine and see
what she can design uniquely for you.
Call Elaine on 01505 506169 or 07505
While you know that Craft of Calder
Gallery is the place to have your
wedding pictures framed, do you know
that they can also help if you want to
have your bouquet framed? Call in and
they can put you in touch with a
company that can dry and frame your
bouquet so that you can keep it
always.
What kind of wedding cake?
Community Garden
With funding from Action Earth, the
Community Garden group along with
a number of volunteers from the
community completed the
construction of a wildlife pond in the
grounds of the Community Garden.
We were fortunate to have some local
pond experts on hand to offer advice
and suggestions, and volunteers
young and old to help with the
digging and and preparation work.
The event was blessed with some
warm sunny weather so everyone
enjoyed the hard work and the BBQ
which followed.
The pond was filled and was allowed
to settle for a few weeks before
planting began. (although a hose
was used to begin with, Lochwinnoch
weather managed to fill the pond to
18
overflowing within a couple of days!)
It is hoped that the pond will provide a
habitat for frogs, toads, newts and
other creatures and support local
biodiversity.
