Course Overv<strong>ie</strong>w<br />

A Masters in Business Administration degree<br />

programme, is an internationally recognised one and<br />

is perceived in the global market as the passport to a<br />

successful managerial career. This MBA programme is<br />

comprised <strong>of</strong> industry relevant subjects, which have<br />

been designed by global industry leaders. The modern<br />

business enterprise is in constant transformation as<br />

it responds to technological innovations linking local<br />

communit<strong>ie</strong>s to the global marketplace.<br />

This MBA programme is an advanced degree<br />

designed to prepare and equip managers with the<br />

knowledge and competenc<strong>ie</strong>s necessary to administer<br />

controllable forces within their organizations in order<br />

to adapt successfully to variables and changes in the<br />

uncontrollable environment.<br />

Practitioners develop skills for deciphering and<br />

forecasting external forces and in the process<br />

become effective leader-managers in the increasingly<br />

multicultural, multinational environment <strong>of</strong> the twentyfirst<br />

century.<br />

Course Aud<strong>ie</strong>nce<br />

The following are the minimum admission requirements<br />

for this programme:<br />

• a qualification deemed equivalent to an Australian<br />

Bachelors degree, preferably with some<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essional practice;<br />

Or<br />

• a qualification deemed equivalent to an Australian<br />

Advanced Diploma with at least 3 years relevant<br />

work exper<strong>ie</strong>nce;<br />

Or<br />

• a minimum <strong>of</strong> 3 years managerial exper<strong>ie</strong>nce<br />

deemed acceptable by AIBA and <strong>CCT</strong><br />

• International applicants whose first language is<br />

not English must produce an <strong>of</strong>ficial test score<br />

<strong>of</strong> an internationally recognised English Language<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>ic<strong>ie</strong>ncy testing system. The minimum English<br />

Language test score requirement for this course<br />

is 6.0 on the International English Language<br />

Testing System (IELTS). Official equivalent<br />

scores from the TOEFL English Language test will<br />

also be accepted<br />

Accreditation<br />

The Masters in Business Administration is listed on the<br />

Internationalisation Register <strong>of</strong> approved colleges and<br />

courses, hosted by the Irish Department <strong>of</strong> Education. This<br />

course is awarded by the Australian Institute <strong>of</strong> Business<br />

Administration, part <strong>of</strong> the Gibaran Learning Group.<br />

Duration / Commencement dates<br />

One academic year: 3 thirteen week semesters.<br />

Course Fees<br />

Please contact the college directly to ascertain the course<br />

fees. Medical insurance for Non-EU nationals is compulsory<br />

and as part <strong>of</strong> the Irish Student Visa requirements and can<br />

be arranged by <strong>CCT</strong> for an additional fee <strong>of</strong> EUR160 for 12<br />

months.<br />

Exit Points<br />

The flexibility <strong>of</strong> this MBA programme is enhanced by the<br />

various Exit Points / Additional Certification Stages <strong>of</strong> this<br />

programme:<br />

- Graduate Certificate in Management is obtained (after<br />

any 4 subjects, other than the final project<br />

are completed).<br />

- Graduate Diploma in Management is obtained (after<br />

any 8 subjects, other than the final project<br />

are completed).
