demand for not only cheap,
economical but also modern
products.
Th<strong>is</strong> answer <strong>is</strong> Parco – a new scoter
designed by Pol<strong>is</strong>h designers in <strong>Zipp</strong>
Company.
Th<strong>is</strong> scooter designs’ character<strong>is</strong>tic features
are sharp edged reflector, indicators,
similar in shape to reflector, placed in an
attractively shaped handlebars’ cover and
a centrally located running LED light.
On the reflector’s sides there are two
stylized air-intakes which give th<strong>is</strong> scooter
lightness and sport style.

Classic scooter with a sharpened body and interesting
painting <strong>is</strong> a perfect choice for those seeking a big
universal scooter. High quality of th<strong>is</strong> construction and
usage of top quality spare parts guarantees that you
will reach your destination and get wherever you want
without any problems.
On the sides we can find carbon elements
and a fender borrowed from our popular
Vapor model.
All these features contribute to the fact
that we can present a typical example
of a small, economical scooter which <strong>is</strong>
modern and elegant at the same time.
Parco <strong>is</strong> an example of the smallest
scooters.
It <strong>is</strong> equipped with alloy wheels and 10
inches tires with a reduced diameter
which lowers the rolling res<strong>is</strong>tance and as
a consequence also fuel consumption.
Th<strong>is</strong> scooter has got a spacious, solid
trunk and room for an integrated helmet
under the seat. Despite the fact that it <strong>is</strong>
small it can still be ridden by two people.
The power unit of Parco <strong>is</strong> a four-stroke,
air-cooled, tested, error-free, 50cc engine
which together with low weight of th<strong>is</strong>
scooter and 10” wheels contribute to its
dynamics.
Four-stroke engine means also low em<strong>is</strong>sions
and low no<strong>is</strong>e.

2012 collection ||| designed in poland
<strong>Zipp</strong> Superray <strong>is</strong> a unique product
of the <strong>Zipp</strong> brand. It <strong>is</strong> unique,
because it was designed in
Poland for company’s special
needs.
The frame and the drive unit were adapted
from our well known and tested in all conditions
Vapor but Superray has got bigger,
12 inches wheels. It <strong>is</strong> covered with modern
body. These new features made th<strong>is</strong>
vehicle go a level higher in scooters’ classes
than its mentioned earlier predecessor.
Th<strong>is</strong> vehicle despite its similar to Vapor
size <strong>is</strong> hanged higher what gives an
impression of a more advanced design
suitable for more demanding clients. Its
bravely designed body and firm shape give
it aggressive character. The block was cut
into multiple surfaces from which original
shapes of lights, air-intakes, pressings,
dummies emerged. By shortening “the
nose”, character<strong>is</strong>tic for all previous Vapor
models and by its modifications, the front
was a bit ra<strong>is</strong>ed optically.
The front wheel <strong>is</strong> protected by a small,
neat fender. One of the most important
elements, d<strong>is</strong>tingu<strong>is</strong>hing th<strong>is</strong> vehicle from
others and giving it its exceptional looks <strong>is</strong>
the shape of front reflectors – now in the
form of a polygon, tampered in their lower
parts.
In preparing “the eyes” of the vehicle designers
used good, checked by the car market
solutions. Headlights with lenses compo-
sed with LED running lights stripes look
similar to those of Audi cars, a symbol of
modern design not so long ago. The inside
of the light was also interestingly planned
because the reflecting part was divided into
matt and shining surfaces.
The rear of the vehicle surpr<strong>is</strong>es with unusual
arrangement of individual elements.
The normally integrated with indicators
block of the back lamp was divided into
three light parts. In all of them Led lighting
was used what <strong>is</strong> becoming standard in
new <strong>Zipp</strong> products. The extended dummies
of air-intakes are used as indicators,
and a thin rear lamp <strong>is</strong> drawing with its
shape a rectangular outlet which resembles
in character a jet engine nozzle.
Th<strong>is</strong> shape <strong>is</strong> repeated on a sharply cut fender,
which <strong>is</strong> exceptionally firm due to skillfully
planned pressings. The way the rear <strong>is</strong>
designed <strong>is</strong> giving th<strong>is</strong> vehicle an aggressive
and sport looks. It <strong>is</strong> all completed with a
well integrated graphics.

<strong>every</strong> <strong>year</strong> <strong>Zipp</strong> <strong>is</strong> introducing
something new into the
segment of motorcycles and
mopeds and th<strong>is</strong> <strong>year</strong> we are
launching a brother of PRO 50 - one of
the most popular motorcycles’ models
from the Street Fighter family.
Th<strong>is</strong> model, like many other <strong>Zipp</strong> branded
constructions, was designed in Poland
by our national designers. Current world
trends from Street Fighter and Muscle
Bike’s class were implemented while designing
X Race.
Th<strong>is</strong> model has got all features of a motorcycle
from the Street Fighter group:
• Partially uncovered engine, underlined
at the bottom with a sharply bended
cover, necessary in th<strong>is</strong> group of motorcycles,
• Side covers, according to current trends,
XRACE ||| Aggressive styling, focused mainly on
sharp bends in the line of the reflector and side covers.
Dynamic <strong>is</strong> added by fragmentary fairing above reflector
- typical for th<strong>is</strong> group of motorcycles.

equipped with LED indicators with matching
to the style of th<strong>is</strong> motorcycle shape,
• Rear indicators produced also in the
LED technology undoubtedly enrich the
looks of the back of th<strong>is</strong> vehicle,
• Side covers have got sport intakes which
go well with LED indicators and give the
body a race character;
• Behind the head cover there are two
analog clocks – typical for the group of
“Naked” motorcycles, placed in one cover
and matching the reflector’s cover with its
shape.

the unlimited fun that it gives!
ZV models are an essence of a motorcycle
– classic line, no frills – only what <strong>is</strong> vital
to enjoy riding a full-fledged motorcycle.
ZV 50 and ZV 125 models are motorcycles
for <strong>every</strong>one who <strong>is</strong> looking for reliable
mean of transport for <strong>every</strong>day use as well
as user-friendly vehicle for weekends and
out of town trips.
ZV50 & ZV 125 ||| ZV models – are an essence of
a motorcycle – classic line, no frills
Both models have been equipped with
18” front wheel s which guarantee that
the vehicle drives great and <strong>is</strong> comfortable

with time passing by,
<strong>every</strong> product needs
some changes.
After the sales season
we decided to modify PRO
50 by improving its comfort,
safety and quality. These three
features are always priority while
constructing our vehicles.
While designing PRO 50 in 2010
our main goal was to prepare a
drive system suitable for such a big
construction.
To achieve th<strong>is</strong>, all drive systems
were calculated thoroughly
(gearbox, cogs, the diameter of the
wheels, width, etc.), the weight of
the vehicle was reduced and an
adequate supply system was found.
Thanks to these factors we managed
to work out perfect parameters
which have generated the traction
performance of th<strong>is</strong> moped.
1. the length of the rear brake
cable has been increased
2. frame has been strengthen
- mounting brackets in places
of greatest weight load to
assure frame’s stiffness and
durability.
3. Battery charging – lighting
has been connected to a
generator, additionally the
power of light bulbs of the

after <strong>working</strong> a full season on perfecting the construction
of pro 50 the following changes have
been introduced:
while designing pro 50 our main goal was to prepare
a suitable drive system. we additionally managed
to work out perfect parameters which generated
good traction performance of th<strong>is</strong> motorbike.

premiere presentation
of the 2012 collection
Like <strong>every</strong> <strong>year</strong> <strong>Zipp</strong> Scooters organized an official presentation of the collection for coming
season. 2012 <strong>is</strong> going to be a season of revolutionary changes and extraordinary novelties.
Those who took part in our meetings in Katowice and Przasnysz could witness it themselves.
t
he meetings took place on 26th
January in Novotel in Katowice
and on 1st February in Przasnysz.
For both presentations best <strong>Zipp</strong>,
Interscooters and Limber dealers were invited.
Besides, there were also representatives
from well known portals like skuterowo.
com, ścigacz.pl and trade magazines including
“Świat Motocykli”, “Motormania”
and “WMC”. A presentation started from
introducing of the young, bicycle brand -
Limber.
Waldemar Krupiński and Tomasz Szczepański
summarized last season briefly and
presented plans for the coming <strong>year</strong>. A full
collection together with our modernized
VX7 Pro, FX3 Agile models and completely
new SC Sport was demonstrated. Apart from
the slide presentation, in Przasnysz guests
could have a close look at all models with
Limber logo.
The following point of the meeting was a
<strong>year</strong>’s summary and plans for Interscooters
presented by Michał Pajewski and Ewa Pycel.
The focus of th<strong>is</strong> summary was mainly on
numbers as they are, when talking about
th<strong>is</strong> brand, very impressive: due to 77% sales
increase th<strong>is</strong> brand has gained 20% market
share of spare parts and accessories. Th<strong>is</strong> was
possible because the range of products offered
by Interscooters rose to 11.000 indices.
In their presentation they showed also absolute
novelties which are entering the market:
complete sets of xenon lamps with inverters,
custom accessories (including helmets in
national colours), modern spark plugs and
many more. The online system was also
d<strong>is</strong>cussed, thanks to it dealers can order and
purchase goods in a quick and easy way.
During lunch it was possible for dealers to
share their comments with people responsible
for managing individual brands of the
<strong>Zipp</strong> Group. Invited guests unanimously
appreciated the <strong>Zipp</strong> brand’s development
direction, particularly in regard to the extension
of the offer of scooters designed by us.
What <strong>is</strong> more, most of the dealers noticed
that our company found a right time and
place on the market for the flagship model
PRO 50 which according to them was selling
extremely well. During these d<strong>is</strong>cussions we
could hear many positive comments about
Limber brand development and its bicycles.
VX7 Pro made the greatest impression on
our guests especially in Przasnysz where it
was presented in live.
At the moment our company has got 23% of
market share and <strong>is</strong> a leader. The following
point of the presentation was d<strong>is</strong>cussing <strong>Zipp</strong>
brand’s development plans. The most awaited
point - our “bomb”, which were the new models
for 2012 aroused interest and emotions
among invited guests.
A murmur of approval was heard when the
sales director presented new painting designs
for top Pro 50 and classic Neken. But <strong>every</strong>one
was absolutely stunned while presenting
Parco, Superray, two ZVs and X-Race. These
true novelties made dealers’ faces flush. The
twin brother of Pro 50 – street fighter X-Race
was especially appreciated. Dealers where
after lunch, came the right
time for a special attraction
– summary and what <strong>is</strong> more
imPortant – Presentation of
<strong>Zipp</strong> plans and novelties for
2012. Paweł Biedrzycki described
the und<strong>is</strong>putable success
of 52% sales increase to start
with.
expressing their sat<strong>is</strong>faction with introducing
th<strong>is</strong> model and were predicting its success
when the presentation was not even fin<strong>is</strong>hed.
Also the economical Parco aroused interest
especially because of its design and performance.
Both meetings in Katowice and in
Przasnysz were summarized and fin<strong>is</strong>hed by
Joanna Jankowska, who presented marketing
plans for 2012 for <strong>Zipp</strong> and Interscooters
brands. She emphasized an idea of putting
highest pressure on the fastest growing
channels of promotion like internet and viral
advert<strong>is</strong>ing.

meeting in
lithuania
a
t the beginning of the season,
on 17th February a first <strong>Zipp</strong>
Dealers’ meeting in Lithuania
took place. In a well known
to motorcycle riders hotel Via Baltica,
current and future <strong>Zipp</strong> Group dealers
gathered.
The gathering of all participants was held
in a shop of our official d<strong>is</strong>tributor in
Lithuania – Durati where <strong>every</strong>one could
see all vehicles included in <strong>Zipp</strong> collection
“alive”. There was also a possibility to
become familiar with servicing process,
technologies and solutions used in our
vehicles. After three hours guests moved
to the hotel, where in the hall <strong>Zipp</strong>’s “sales
locomotives”: Quantum R and Pro 50
where presented. The official meeting was
initiated by the only representative of our
company in Lithuania, the owner of Durati
Company.
He presented h<strong>is</strong> business and d<strong>is</strong>cussed
sales results of two wheeled vehicles in the
last season. Moreover, guests could become
familiar with sales results of particular
regions also divided into scooters, motorbikes
and motorcycles’ sales.
A following point of th<strong>is</strong> meeting was
presented by <strong>Zipp</strong> Scooters’ export department
manager Krzysztof Kuliś. He briefly
described the h<strong>is</strong>tory and achievements of
our company.

Th<strong>is</strong> was followed by a presentation of the
new Limber bikes’ collection and Interscooters
novelties. He showed not only new
projects of helmets but also fancy mirrors,
gel batteries and modern iridium spark
plugs.

was the presentation of a
full 2012 <strong>Zipp</strong> collection as
well presenting novelties like
superray, X-race, parco, Zv 50
and 125 models. these models
turned out to arouse a lot of

preparations

When preparing a scooter
for the season one should
start with washing it and
thorough drying. Next
step <strong>is</strong> cleaning the supply system which
you start with draining fuel from the
tank and carburetor (prec<strong>is</strong>ely from the
float chamber). After, you need to clean
fuel injection nozzles and change fuel
filter.
The next step <strong>is</strong> to unscrew the cover of
the air filter and soaking the inset with
specially designed for th<strong>is</strong> purpose oil.
Th<strong>is</strong> type of oil can be found in bottles or
spray. There <strong>is</strong> no problem with soaking
the inset with spray but if the oil <strong>is</strong> in
a bottle you need to take a plastic bag,
pour a cap of oil into it, put the inset in
it and crumple it in the bag. Th<strong>is</strong> method
will allow quick and clean soaking of the
air filter. Remember that too much oil in
the filter can cause sucking the oil to the
carburetor.
Another step <strong>is</strong> checking the condition
of spark plugs – to do it you need to take
it out of the head, check if it <strong>is</strong> not oily
or covered with soot and if the electrode
<strong>is</strong> not damaged. If you notice any
of these failures you need to exchange
the spark plug. You need to remember
about a proper gap between the inside
and outside electrode (about 0.6 – 0.7
mm). Then you need to screw the spark
plug on and be careful not to damage the
thread of the aluminum cylinder head
as the exchange of the insert of the head
<strong>is</strong> very laborious. In case you need to
change the spark plug I suggest buying
good Interscooters products for example
iridium ones which are more durable
and improve fuel mixture combustion.
The next step <strong>is</strong> cables’ lubrication as there
could some rust appear during winter.
You have to check also the accelerator

riding. I assume that you stowed the
battery properly during winter. What we
should do next <strong>is</strong> checking the level of
battery charge. In acid batteries you have
to check the state of electrolyte – if there
<strong>is</strong> not enough you need to add some d<strong>is</strong>tilled
water. If our battery <strong>is</strong> d<strong>is</strong>charged
you need to charge it properly with a low
current rectifier.
Nowadays there are chargers suitable
for low-capacity batteries available on
the market. The endings of the wires
coming to the battery have to be greased
with petroleum jelly or another product
protecting the electrical connectors from
oxidizing. If the battery <strong>is</strong> completely
damaged I recommend an Interscoters
gel one which lasts longer than an acid
battery. Interscooters’ sales network offers
also special chargers for gel batteries.
Then we have to have a look at the tires –
we check the pressure using a manometer
and if it <strong>is</strong> lower than the recommended
level you should pump the wheels to
the suitable level recommended by the
manufacturer. You have to remember
that too low pressure in the tires reduces
its life. When stowing a scooter for winter
you must take into consideration that
the air escapes from the tire even when
th<strong>is</strong> <strong>is</strong> a tubeless one.
After winter times you also need to
check the lights, inter alia stop light,
head light and indicators. If you see there
<strong>is</strong> a burned bulb in any of them you need
to change it not to cause any danger on

the road.
Another important point <strong>is</strong> inspecting
the braking system. Usually there are hydraulic
dick brakes at the front and mechanical
drum brakes or hydraulic d<strong>is</strong>c
brakes at the rear. To inspect the d<strong>is</strong>c
brakes you need to check the amount of
brake fluid in the braking pump system
(there <strong>is</strong> a quick indicator close to the
handle bars). If you notice some braking
fluid loss you should check if there <strong>is</strong> any
leak from the braking cable, which could
have been damaged while exploitation or
the leak may have been caused by brake
caliper (by the brake p<strong>is</strong>ton seals).
In th<strong>is</strong> situation you need to contact
service point where they can repair
the fault. To check the mechanic drum
brakes you have to have a look at the
braking cable – if it <strong>is</strong> not tearing apart
– and you need to grease it. If you notice
that the brake <strong>is</strong> not <strong>working</strong> correctly
you should stretch the braking cable
(there <strong>is</strong> an adjustment by the cam lever).
If th<strong>is</strong> <strong>is</strong> not helping you need to check
wheatear the friction linings of brake
drum called also brake shoes are not
worn and their thickness if fine. There
can also appear a leak from the rear gear
what can cause oiling of the friction
linings.

MaratHon
on Sunday 15 January in Maków
Mazowiecki VII Winter
Marathon MTB “The Glory
of the Fallen” took place.
Limber Team was represented by two
contestants: Przemek Kocyła and Bogdan
Bachorski. Their rivals were 75 other
contestants from whole Poland. There
were two options which contestants
could choose from, the first one marathon
route 42 km long (two rounds) and
half-marathon 22 km (one round). The
route was going from Saper’s Park, along
Sport Street to Grzanek’s Forest, through
Chyliny Leśne, Makowica, Bazar to sport
stadium.
Our team cycl<strong>is</strong>ts did very well on the
marathon route. Both managed to avoid
unpleasant surpr<strong>is</strong>es on snowy or icy roads.
Bogdan fin<strong>is</strong>hes h<strong>is</strong> race on the 9th
position in M30 category which helped
him to be 23rd in the Open classification.
Przemek was 1st in M30 category
in half-marathon which gave him 20th
position on th<strong>is</strong> d<strong>is</strong>tance. We would like
to congratulate our contestants on such
a successful season opening!

teaM 2012
Limber team has already started its preparation
season. Part of our contestants had
already taken part in winter marathon
editions, the rest are still practicing for
first spring starts. Two of our cycl<strong>is</strong>ts will
take part in a season prologue Northtec
MTB in winter. First stage will be held in
Karczewo on 19th February and then in
Mrozy on 4th March and Józefów on 18th
march. We are full of hope that Przemek
and Bogdan will give their all in these
unfavorable conditions.
For all other cycl<strong>is</strong>ts the season will start
in Otwock with th<strong>is</strong> <strong>year</strong>’s edition of Mazovia
MTB Marathon. Th<strong>is</strong> series will be
th<strong>is</strong> <strong>year</strong>’s main challenge and a possibility
to test Limber bikes.
The recruitment <strong>is</strong> now open. If bicycle
racing <strong>is</strong> your passion and you would
like to try team trips on Mazovia routes

last season? Were you affected by sales
drop?
Emil Podgórski: 2011 has been one of the
most successful <strong>year</strong>s so far for “RO-
WERY-TAK”. Not only did I sell more
bicycles but also more spare parts and
accessories.
Z.E. Why Limber bicycles? Many consider
it as a new brand and do not want
to r<strong>is</strong>k?
E.P: Limber brand <strong>is</strong> a new brand on the
market and it has to fight for their customers
from the very beginning. When
buying a bike many people are looking at
the brand, and it <strong>is</strong> its image that we are
often paying for not the actual bicycle. A
new brand like Limber which <strong>is</strong> entering
the market combines a great price and
quality. Why Limber? Because the producer
<strong>is</strong> not saving money on equipment
and parts and that <strong>is</strong> why we have Shimano
cranks in SXC 04 what <strong>is</strong> very rare in
th<strong>is</strong> class of bicycles.

On 27th January at 5 o’clock in Apollo
Hotel a gala was held on the occasion of
30th anniversary of “Ziemia Darłowska”
cycling club. Rajmund Zieliński, a two-time
Olympian, representatives of national
and local institutions, club sponsors, club
cycl<strong>is</strong>ts, club activ<strong>is</strong>ts and many cycling
lovers were taking part in the celebration.
The gala was a summary of 30 <strong>year</strong>s of
club activities. Participants had a chance
to find out about club h<strong>is</strong>tory, greatest
achievements, watch a movie presenting
club members and their contests. At the
beginning the former and present cycl<strong>is</strong>ts

a good chance on the market.
Z.E. What would you possibly change
in next collections?
EP: We would be very pleased to see
new urban bikes, but those with as low
as possible weight as it <strong>is</strong> still a niche to
fill in the market. Most of urban bikes
are unnecessarily loaded with dynamos,
heavy steel racks and unnecessary wide
tires. We would like to see new models
for junior riders with 20”, 16” and 12”
wheels and appropriate weight.
