HONORS PROGRAM DEGREE OPTIONThe <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Clair</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> Honors Program is designedto satisfy the needs of students who are hard-working andself-motivated, are curious and appreciate exploring a topic in depth,and enjoy strong interaction with instructors and fellow students. Astudent may earn an Honors degree in any associate degree program.BENEFITS• Honors degree if program is completed• Greater academic challenges• Recognition for outstanding achievement• Greater depth in subject matter• More stimulating course work with greater interaction• Honors options in regular courses• New honors courses• Smaller class size• Honors Program credential on transcriptADMISSION REQUIREMENTS• Be enrolled at <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Clair</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>.• Fill out the Honors Program application form, available atwww.sc4.edu/honors.Program admission criteria:• One of the following minimums for admission:o ACT Composite score of 25o Minimum Writing COMPASS score of 95o 3.2 high school GPA (on a 4.0 scale)OR• Two of the following minimums for admission:o ACT Math score of 24o ACT Writing score of 25o <strong>College</strong> Algebra COMPASS score of 46o GED score of 55o GPA at SC4 or other collegeo Membership in National Honor Society in high schoolo Recommendation by Honors Program director, advisor orfaculty27
