Wealth Management Institute<br />
Wealth Management Institute (WMI) is a leading provider of wealth<br />
management training and education in the region.<br />
Now in its ninth year, WMI combines academic rigour with a practical<br />
focus to offer training for wealth management and trust professionals.<br />
Over 4,000 professionals have completed WMI’s programmes and short<br />
courses, which are accredited by the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF)<br />
and taught by a faculty of distinguished industry-based practitioners and<br />
thought leaders.<br />
WMI’s fl agship programme, the Master of Science in Wealth Management<br />
(MWM), has produced more than 300 graduates from 23 countries, including<br />
55 regulators from seven Asian countries sponsored under the <strong>Temasek</strong><br />
Regional Regulators Scholarship Programme. A unique feature of the MWM<br />
is an overseas module, where students have the opportunity to study at the<br />
Swiss Finance Institute as well as Yale School of Management to learn from<br />
leading professionals across Asia, Europe and the USA.<br />
In May 2011, WMI was appointed by IBF as the lead provider for Client<br />
Advisor Competency Standards (CACS) training. The CACS is a mandatory<br />
common competency assessment for the private banking industry<br />
in Singapore.<br />
Stewardship and Corporate Governance Centre<br />
The Stewardship and Corporate Governance Centre (SCGCentre) was<br />
launched in September 2011 by its Chairman Hsieh Fu Hua and Li Rongrong,<br />
Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee for Economic Affairs of the National<br />
Committee of the 11th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.<br />
Mr Li is the former Chairman of China’s SASAC.<br />
SCGCentre’s mission is to foster effective stewardship and thought<br />
leadership in corporate governance. The SCGCentre is supported by<br />
<strong>Temasek</strong> as part of its commitment to promote sound governance<br />
practices and to develop an experienced corps of board directors.
