plants, the designfabrik TM is located<br />
<strong>in</strong> the heart of <strong>BASF</strong>’s parent site<br />
<strong>in</strong> Ludwigshafen, Germany. Here the<br />
<strong>in</strong>dustrial designers of <strong>BASF</strong> advise<br />
customers and designers concern<strong>in</strong>g<br />
design <strong>in</strong> plastics. They help with the<br />
<strong>in</strong>itial material selection and a plastic<br />
appropriate component design or<br />
with choos<strong>in</strong>g an adequate process<br />
technology – thus they can bridge the<br />
gap between the world of designers<br />
and the world of plastics. Once the<br />
projects have reached an advanced<br />
stage, if necessary, they also arrange<br />
contacts with other <strong>BASF</strong> plastic<br />
