Four to the fore – what’s new from Marabu at
Viscom Düsseldorf 2011

Tamm, 31 August 2011 – At this year’s Viscom, Marabu will be showcasing four new
products: digital printing ink Marajet DI-MS will take centre stage, demonstrated live using a
Mimaki JV33. It will be joined by sublimation ink Texajet DX-SHE, which will be put through
its paces on a Mutoh Viper TX. The third new product is Marajet DI-JVP, boasting highly
convenient plug-and-print functionality. Last but not least, Marabu will be exhibiting its new
UV curable hybrid inkjet ink DUV-H, designed for rigid and flexible substrates.
Solvent-based inks
New – Marajet DI-MS – the solution for wide-format printing
Marabu is setting the benchmark high with this new product: it delivers features long-term
stability, mild solvents, an odourless formulation and good chemical resistance.
Marajet DI-MS also fulfils customers’ specifications: plug-and-print compatibility (even when
used in conjunction with an OEM ink) and rapid drying, for greater productivity. These features
can be observed in action at Viscom on a Mimaki JV33.
New – DI-JVP – DI-JV plus plug-and-print functionality
Mild solvents, brilliant prints and plug-and-print compatibility – these are the hallmarks of
Marabu’s new digital printing ink DI-JVP, designed for deployment on a Mimaki JV3. The
new plug-and-print functionality makes it easy to change cartridges without profiling again –
even in conjunction with an OEM ink.
A proven performer – Marabu’s solvent-based MaraJet DI-LS
Customers have responded enthusiastically to digital printing ink Marajet DI-LS, one of the
world’s leading solvent-based ink series. As a result, Marabu will be exhibiting the product at
Viscom again this year. Marajet DI-LS is suitable for wide-format applications on Roland
printers, and contains exceptionally low-odour solvents.

Textile printing inks
New – Texajet DX-SHE – 2 in 1 – hybrid sublimation ink
The new water-based textile printing ink Texajet DX-SHE is ideal for transfer and direct printing.
It delivers excellent results on equipment with Epson DX4 or DX5 print heads. Texajet
DX-SHE can be applied to textiles with at least 60% polyester, and on rigid substrates
with polyester coatings.
UV-curable inks
New – UV-curable hybrid inkjet ink DUV-H
Marabu’s UV-curable hybrid inkjet ink is ideal for rigid substrates such as PVC, PS, PC or
cardboard. Yet it also achieves exceptional results on flexible media, such as cling film and
sheeting – marking another Marabu-made breakthrough.
Marabu will also be showcasing the tried and tested UltraJet DUV-R for rigid substrates.
Liquid coatings
Excellent result of an effective partnership: UV liquid coatings on flexible
media
Welte GmbH (based in Freiburg), Robert Bürkle GmbH (in Freudenstadt) and Marabu have
teamed up with resounding success: customer-specific UV coatings on a variety of substrates
are just what the market has been waiting for. Marabu’s Marashield primers and coatings,
in conjunction with the Bürkle LFC Coater, offer industrial coating quality. What’s more, the
greatly extended range of substrates opens up exciting new business opportunities for digital
printers.
The Bürkle UV painting system LFC was presented at the Viscom 2010 and at the end it was
the winner in the sign making category and received the “Viscom BEST of 2010 AWARD!”.
