Data to support the self-studySurvey DesignThe survey was designed around gaps in supporting datafor the self-study. Initial data requests were receivedfrom subcommittee chairs. These requests weretranslated in to quantitative survey questions by thesurvey design team (consisting of Dr. Neil Grunberg, Dr.Gloria Ramsey, Dr. Donna Waechter, Dr. EleanorMetcalf, Dr. Carol Romano, Dr. Patrick Sculley, Mr.Stephen Henske, and Mr. Brian Rimm). The surveydesign was then edited and approved by subcommitteechairs.Survey ImplementationDr. Donna Waechter sent the survey to the universitypopulation via an email invitation on 18 April 2012.Personalized links were used so that subsequent surveyreminders were only sent to those who had not yetresponded. Answers were collected anonymously over atwo month period, and the survey was closed 18 June2012. Mr. Brian Rimm analyzed results into a reportcontaining 9 sections (as shown in the sidebar).Response RateThe survey data wasbroken down into 9reports:1. All Respondents2. Staff3. Students4. Slightinaccuracies arise from the fact that IT hascategorized people differently than expected and thesurvey was sent via IT’s designations.
