1. Introduction<strong>FDC1</strong> series of relays are based on latestmicrocontroller based design technique. <strong>FDC1</strong> areequipped with a display to indicate measurements andsettings and keys are provided for settings. <strong>FDC1</strong> is aflush mounted type of relay.Separately adjustable, independent timers forU.Independent trip delays of the individualelements.Wide operating ranges of the supply voltage (AC/DC).Password protection.2. Application4. Working principle<strong>FDC1</strong> is a D.C. voltage supervision relay used e.g. forsupervision of intermediate circuits, station batteries orstarter batteries etc. There are three varients of therelay i.e. <strong>FDC1</strong>-U for under voltage protection,<strong>FDC1</strong>-O for over voltage protection, <strong>FDC1</strong>-UO forover and under voltage protection.3. Characteristics and Features<strong>FDC1</strong> is equipped with two stage independent underand over voltage supervision with adjustable pickupvalues and tripping time delays.The analog voltage is subsequently filtered in order tominimize the influence of disturbing voltages, thevoltage is compared with the set reference value, if thevoltage falls below or exceeds the set reference valuea time circuit is activated and appropriate relay trips.Microcontroller based design.Voltage supervision with two stage under and overvoltage function.Extremely wide setting ranges and fine steps, withthe help of push buttons.3

6.2 Reset6.2.1 ManualBy pressing pushbutton the trippingrelay is reset and LED U willextinguish.The auxiliary power supply rating corresponds to theauxiliary voltage on sight.The voltage transformer circuits are connected tothe relay correctly.All control and measuring circuits as well as theoutput relays are connected correctly.6.2.2 RemoteTerminal C8 and D8 could be used to reset the trippingrelay externally.7.
