Mucuna sloanei - Horse-ey e bean. Wide<br />

spread in tropical Af rica f rom Sierra Leone to<br />

DRC and Angola. A f ast growing creeper which<br />

can reach 5-6m in height. These <strong>plants</strong> f lower<br />

most months of the y ear <strong>with</strong> a short rest in<br />

winter. The f lowers are y ellow-green.<br />

Thunbergia mysorensis - Lady slipper v ine.<br />

The v ine, nativ e to India of ten reaches 6<br />

metres and has narrow leav es. The f lowers are<br />

shaped like pendants and are brownish red <strong>with</strong><br />

a y ellow center, and bloom f rom Spring to<br />

Autumn. The inf lorescences hang down and<br />

can reach a lenght of up to 2m. Can handle<br />

when mature. Can handle some f rost as goes<br />

semi dormant or die back in lower<br />
