04Policing inpartnershipWorking togetherin partnership willmake CarrickfergusBorough a saferplace to live for all.Carrickfergus District PolicingPartnership has been in existencesince 2003 and is one of twenty-sixlocal District Policing Partnershipsestablished in each council area ofNorthern Ireland. Its role is to monitorpolice performance and help guideoperational decision-making by activelyconsulting with the local communityon policing matters. As a partnershipbetween Carrickfergus BoroughCouncil and representatives of thelocal community, it consists of 8 electedCouncillors and 7 publicly appointedrepresentatives (IndependentMembers), who meet regularly atboth public and business meetings.The newly-elected Chair for theperiod 2006-07 is Councillor RoyBeggs MLA and the Vice-Chair isMrs Sharon Maxwell.Thursday 7 June <strong>2007</strong> in SilverstreamPrimary School, Greenisland, with lightrefreshments served.
