He also will handle player edits for individualplayers’ use and create recruiting videos <strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong> recruiting gametape for coaches’ evaluation.Administratively, he will supervise the academic progress <strong>of</strong> eachstudent-athlete within the program, <strong>as</strong> all 23 players to completetheir eligibility under Miller have earned their degrees. Peters is alsoco-director <strong>of</strong> the Sean Miller <strong>B<strong>as</strong>ketball</strong> Camps and will coordinateUA former player outreach.Peters h<strong>as</strong> long had a coaching career in his sights. Starting hisBuckeye career <strong>as</strong> a manager in 2005-06, Peters h<strong>as</strong> helped trainOSU standout guards Mike Conley Jr., Jamar Butler and EvanTurner for game action. Short on players for the 2006-07 campaign,Peters w<strong>as</strong> added to the active roster.He made a total <strong>of</strong> 35 appearances in his four-year career, helpingthe Buckeyes to 110 victories, which w<strong>as</strong> a school record at the time<strong>of</strong> his graduation, three Big Ten championships (2006, ’07, ’10), twoBig Ten tournament titles (2007, ’10), an appearance in the FinalFour (2007) and one N.I.T. championship (2008).Counting his managerial experience, Peters left Columbus with atotal <strong>of</strong> five varsity letters.Peters originally joined the Wildcat support staff <strong>as</strong> a graduatemanager in August 2010, aiding the coaching staff in player andteam workouts in addition to a multitude <strong>of</strong> video and operationalresponsibilities. His tireless work ethic and b<strong>as</strong>ketball insightsinfused new energy into Arizona’s individual workouts.Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Peters earned a bachelor’s degree inspecial education from Ohio State in 2010. His father, Dan, is thedirector <strong>of</strong> b<strong>as</strong>ketball operations at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Akron.<strong>2012</strong> Mountain West Conference defensive player <strong>of</strong> the yearJayDee Luster is the newest member <strong>of</strong> the Arizona b<strong>as</strong>ketballsupport staff, joining the program in August <strong>2012</strong> <strong>as</strong> a graduatemanager.Luster will aid the coaching staff in player and team workouts inaddition to various operational and video responsibilities while hepursues a postgraduate degree.A three-year starter <strong>as</strong> a point guard for the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong>Wyoming, Luster w<strong>as</strong> the Mountain West Conference defensiveplayer <strong>of</strong> the year, a member <strong>of</strong> the league’s all-defensive team andan honorable mention all-conference selection in 2011-12. He guidedthe Cowboys to a 21-12 record l<strong>as</strong>t se<strong>as</strong>on and a berth in the College<strong>B<strong>as</strong>ketball</strong> Invitational. All told, it w<strong>as</strong> Wyoming’s first 20-winse<strong>as</strong>on since 2002-03 and the program’s first postse<strong>as</strong>on appearancein four years.Luster averaged 5.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.7 <strong>as</strong>sists per gamein 33 appearances (32 starts) <strong>as</strong> a senior. He ranked 32nd nationallywith a 2.35 <strong>as</strong>sist:turnover ratio and ranked sixth in the MountainWest in <strong>as</strong>sists. Four <strong>of</strong> his 12 double-figure scoring games came in2011-12, including a career-high 18 points on Dec. <strong>13</strong> vs. UC-Irvine.He p<strong>as</strong>sed out a career high <strong>of</strong> 11 <strong>as</strong>sists on Nov. 18, 2009, againstPeru State.Over his three se<strong>as</strong>ons in Laramie (2008-12), Luster averaged 5.6points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.8 <strong>as</strong>sists per game in 90 appearances. Hecapped his career ranked eighth on UW’s all-time <strong>as</strong>sist list with 344and ranked 14th with 81 starts.He also played one se<strong>as</strong>on (2007-08) at New Mexico State.Originally from San Diego, Calif., Luster earned degrees in socialscience and criminal justice from Wyoming in <strong>2012</strong>.
