The Fiscal Department will be changing accounting software from a DOS version to a
Windows version on January 1, 2007. Element codes will change from 4 digits to 6 digits
and transaction codes change from 3 digits to 5 digits. We will try to make this as simple
for everyone as possible. We will simply add the program year to element codes that we
are presently using. Example: 3012 will become 301207, and then change to 301208 for
the year 2008. Programs that change in the middle of the year will only have the last 2
numbers changed with each program year. The transaction codes that we currently use
will simply have 2 zeroes added to the end. Example: 530 will become 53000. We will
need to get 2006 bills in and paid as quickly as possible. Angie’s workload will increase
with the new system because she will have to enter vouchers in the DOS version to charge
your programs in 2006 and then re-enter them in the Windows version in 2007 to write
the checks.
TO AL L H OSE ENROLLED WITH UNITED HEALTH CARE:
You should be receiving you new cards with our current co-pay information
on them. I have talked to some people who have received gray
cards and some have received tan cards. Whichever card you receive
just make sure the correct co-pay information is on them, and then you
can discard the old cards. I have gotten a couple returned to me here
at the office due to the address not being correct. I am forwarding
these via inter-office mail. If you have changed your address in the last
few months please let me know so I can update the system.
Thanks and Happy Holidays.
what we give.”
Jack London: “A bone to the dog is not charity. Charity is the bone shared with the
dog, when you are just as hungry as the dog.”
