OTC FOUNDATION<br />

SCHOLARSHIPS<br />

The OTC Foundation <strong>Scholarships</strong> are made possible by donations from generous families and<br />

organizations. Each scholarship is unique and students must meet criteria as defined by the donor. All<br />

OTC Foundation <strong>Scholarships</strong> are contingent upon available funds. Other forms <strong>of</strong> financial aid<br />

may effect an OTC Foundation Scholarship.<br />

ASA Scholarship<br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.0 G.P.A., be pursuing an automotive degree, and demonstrate financial<br />

need.<br />

Carol Jones Scholarship<br />

Applicants must be a female student. Priority given to disadvantaged women with financial need. The<br />

scholarship may be used for tuition, books, and/or fees.<br />

Christian County Elks Lodge 2777<br />

Applicants must be a graduate <strong>of</strong> a Christian County high school , attending the Richwood Valley Campus,<br />

and must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. Scholarship may be used for tuition, books, and/or fees.<br />

Christian County Master Gardener Scholarship<br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA, be enrolled in the Agriculture or Turf & Landscape Management<br />

Program and demonstrate financial need. Priority will be given to graduates from a Christian County high<br />

school or a current Christian County resident; while next priority will be given to high school graduates or<br />

residents <strong>of</strong> Taney and Stone Counties and then a Missouri resident. If selected, the recipient must attend<br />

the Christian County Master Gardener's meeting in January to be recognized by the membership and attend<br />

the CCMG Project Fair held at the meeting. The amount the recipient receives is $500 per semester and<br />

may be used for tuition, fees and books.<br />

Classified Staff Scholarship<br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies and be<br />

enrolled as a full-time student at OTC. If applicant is not enrolled full-time, a written explanation <strong>of</strong> their<br />

circumstances must accompany their application. Anyone may apply, but priority is given to students<br />

pursuing a degree in Business Technology or related field.<br />

CoxHealth or Mercy Springfield Communities Scholarship<br />

To be considered for this scholarship, the student must be a spouse, natural or legally adopted child; or step<br />

-child, who has lived as a minor with the employee’s immediate family for one or more years in a parentchild<br />

relationship and was claimed by the employee <strong>of</strong> Mercy Springfield Communities as a dependent for<br />

federal income taxes. Student may be full-time or part-time and enrolled in one <strong>of</strong> the following programs,<br />

or in pre-allied health program with intent to enroll in one <strong>of</strong> the following programs: Emergency Medical<br />

Technician (Basic and Paramedic), Medical Laboratory Technician, Occupational Therapy Assistant,<br />

Physical Therapist Assistant, and Associate <strong>of</strong> Science in Nursing, Practical Nursing, Respiratory Therapist,<br />

Surgical Technology or Health Information Technology. Student must maintain a GPA <strong>of</strong> 2.5 or above and<br />

recipient may receive scholarship for up to 10 semesters. Preference will be given to applicants who have<br />

participated as a community volunteer working in a health related area or with a health related organization<br />

such as: hospitals, clinics, nursing homes or agencies (Heart, Diabetes or Cancer Societies, etc.) and financial<br />

need. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books. Scholarship awards are based on<br />

demonstrated financial need and enrollment status. Satisfactory progress must be maintained to receive<br />

scholarship funds. Students who are full Pell eligible will not be eligible for this scholarship.<br />

Dean Lewis Scholarship, Anna Mae Lewis Scholarship and David Dean Lewis Scholarship<br />

Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA, demonstrate financial need and enroll in the Culinary Arts and Hospitality<br />

Management, Diesel Technology, Heating, Refrigeration and A/C, Industrial Control and Automation<br />

Technology, Turf and Landscaping or Business Management program. Preference is given to applicants<br />

from Taney County, with second preference given to applicants in the surrounding counties <strong>of</strong> Stone,<br />

Christian, Douglas or Ozark. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and/or books. Students may<br />

receive it both fall and spring up to four semesters.<br />

Dental Programs Scholarship<br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies and be<br />

enrolled in the OTC Dental Assisting Program at OTC. This scholarship award is only for the spring<br />

semester and will provide $500 for tuition, fees, and/or books (spring only).


El Club de Espanol Leadership Award Scholarship<br />

Applicants must be have at least a 2.5 G.P.A., be an active member <strong>of</strong> El club de Espanol, be enrolled in a minimum <strong>of</strong><br />

six hours and submit two letters <strong>of</strong> reference. Applicant must also demonstrate leadership qualities. This scholarship<br />

award is for the fall and spring semester and may be used for tuition, fees and/or books.<br />

Fallen Soldier Scholarship<br />

Applicants must be a dependent or spouse <strong>of</strong> a soldier killed while serving active duty in Iraq or Afghanistan. A spouse<br />

and/or dependent must be a resident <strong>of</strong> the OTC Service Area, which includes: Christian, Dallas, Douglas, Greene,<br />

Laclede, Ozark, Polk, Pulaski, Stone, Taney, Webster, and Wright. This scholarship pays for tuition, fees, and books.<br />

Ferrell Duncan Clinic Foundation Scholarship<br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA, be enrolled as an LPN student and demonstrate financial need. This<br />

scholarship is for $500 and may be used for tuition, fees and books.<br />

Francis Collins Memorial Scholarship<br />

Applicants must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A., enrolled as a full-time student in the Dental Hygiene program and<br />

demonstrate financial need. This scholarship award is for the spring semester and may be used for tuition, fees and/or<br />

books.<br />

Gravelle & Harris — <strong>Community</strong> Foundation <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Ozarks</strong><br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.75 G.P.A. in their college and/or high school studies and rank in the<br />

award provides full in-district tuition including student fees (up to 15 credit hours) plus $300 for books. This<br />

scholarship is renewable for three additional semesters as long as the student maintains a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher.<br />

Hartmann Foundation Construction Scholarship<br />

Applicants must be enrolled in the Construction Readiness or Construction Technology program. Applicant may be a<br />

GED graduate. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and/or books. The amount awarded depends on funds<br />

available and recipient’s enrollment status.<br />

Integrity Home Care Scholarship<br />

At time <strong>of</strong> application, applicant must be an employee <strong>of</strong> Integrity Home Care and accepted into either the LPN or<br />

Associate <strong>of</strong> Nursing program. This scholarship is for $1,000 and may be used for tuition, fees, and/or books.<br />

Jerald Powers Memorial Scholarship<br />

Applicants must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A. in high school or college students, enrolled as a full-time student in the<br />

Honors Program and seeking an Associate <strong>of</strong> Arts degree. Second priority is given to students seeking an A.A. with<br />

emphasis in Business. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and submit two letters <strong>of</strong> reference in addition to the<br />

required scholarship application and essay. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and/or books. This<br />

scholarship is non-renewable; however, students who previously received it may re-apply.<br />

Jarred Welch Memorial Scholarship<br />

Applicants must be a senior or past graduate <strong>of</strong> Cassville High School in Cassville, Missouri, have at least a 2.5 G.P.A.<br />

in his/her high school studies or a 2.75 in his/her college studies and be a full-time student. This scholarship is for the<br />

fall semester and is renewable for the spring semester as long as the recipient continues to meet the requirements as<br />

stated above. The amount <strong>of</strong> the scholarship award will be three - $1,000 scholarships to graduating Cassville Seniors<br />

and/or a past graduates from Cassville High School. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and/or books.<br />

Jim E. Frank Memorial Scholarship<br />

Applicants must be a graduate <strong>of</strong> the OTC Middle <strong>College</strong> program and demonstrate financial need. Applicant may be<br />

a full or part-time student. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, and/or books.<br />

J.J.B Craftsmanship Scholarship<br />

Applicant must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. and demonstrate financial need. Applicant must be enrolled in a <strong>Technical</strong><br />

Education Program. Preference is given to students returning to and/or transferring to OTC. This scholarship may be<br />

used for tuition, fees and/or books.<br />

Judge Russell Clark Memorial Scholarship<br />

Applicant must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. and demonstrate financial need.<br />

Lee Cruse Charitable Trust<br />

Applicants must have at least have a 2.75 G.P.A. or higher, enrolled in at least 12 hours, and be seeking a degree in Pre<br />

-Engineering, Allied Health or <strong>Technical</strong> Education. Applicants must be a graduate <strong>of</strong> a high school in OTC’s school<br />

district. All applicants must submit an essay detailing: financial need, leadership qualities and career goals.


Lelia Heuer Charitable Trust<br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies, enroll in at least 12<br />

credit hours, and be seeking an Associate Degree or Certificate at OTC. If the applicant is not enrolled full-time, a<br />

written explanation <strong>of</strong> their circumstances must accompany the scholarship application. All eligible applicants are encouraged<br />

to apply but due to the funding <strong>of</strong> this scholarship priority consideration will be given to applicants who are<br />

pursuing programs in the Allied Health field or those who live in Laclede or Howell County. This scholarship<br />

award provides $750 for the fall semester and will be renewed for the spring semester if the student maintains a 2.5<br />

G.P.A. or higher.<br />

Linda Gingry – Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund<br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.75 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies, be enrolled or have<br />

completed the first semester <strong>of</strong> the OTC Practical Nursing Program, and seeking a LPN certificate at OTC. Due to the<br />

funding <strong>of</strong> this scholarship, priority consideration will be given to applicants who graduated from Kickapoo High<br />

School while next priority will be given to all graduates <strong>of</strong> Springfield Public Schools. This scholarship award is only<br />

available for the spring semester and will provide $750 for tuition, fees, supplies, and/or books.<br />

Musgrave Foundation<br />

Applicants must have a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies, enroll in at least 12 credit<br />

hours and be seeking an Associate <strong>of</strong> Applied Science Degree or Certificate in an Allied Health program at OTC. If the<br />

applicant is not enrolled full-time, a written explanation <strong>of</strong> their circumstances must accompany the scholarship application.<br />

This scholarship award will provide $500 per semester for tuition, fees, supplies, and/or books as long as funding<br />

from the donor is sufficient.<br />

Marge Bell <strong>Community</strong> Spirit Scholarship<br />

Applicants must demonstrate financial need, have a minimum 3.2 GPA and be currently enrolled in the Dental Hygiene<br />

program. Applicants must have organized a community service project benefiting the dental field. This award is<br />

for $500 and is for the Summer semester only. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books or other<br />

school related expenses.<br />

Nina Myers Memorial Scholarship<br />

Anyone may apply. However, the award is based on the financial need <strong>of</strong> the student. This scholarship award is based<br />

on funds available.<br />

O’Reilly Family Foundation Scholarship<br />

Applicant must be pursuing an automotive degree. This scholarship award is based on funds available and may be used<br />

for tuition, fees and books.<br />

OTC Foundation Golf Scholarship<br />

Applicant have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and/<br />

or books.<br />

<strong>Ozarks</strong> Antique Auto Club Scholarship<br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.0 G.P.A. and be pursuing an automotive degree. This scholarship will be renewed<br />

automatically as long as the recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress as defined by the OTC <strong>College</strong> Catalog.<br />

Parkcrest Dental Group Scholarship<br />

Applicants must be enrolled in the Dental program at OTC. Each semester one first year dental student will receive<br />

$500 and one second year student will receive $500. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, and/or books.<br />

Pepsi Scholarship<br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher, a resident <strong>of</strong> the OTC Service Area and demonstrate financial<br />

need. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, and/or books.<br />

Reliable BMW/Audi Springfield Automotive Scholarship<br />

Applicants must be enrolled in the Automotive Technology, Auto Collision Repair Technology or Diesel Technology<br />

program. Must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship award is for $500 per semester<br />

(as long as funds are available) and may be used for tuition, books, tools, and/or fees. Anyone may apply, but<br />

priority is given to students employed at Reliable Toyota Lexus Scion or BMW/Audi Springfield.


Reliable Toyota Lexus Scion Automotive Scholarship<br />

Applicants must be enrolled in the Automotive Technology or Auto Collision Repair Technology program. Must have<br />

at least a 2.5 G.P.A. and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship award is for $500 per semester (as long as funds<br />

are available) and may be used for tuition, books, tools, and/or fees. Anyone may apply, but priority is given to students<br />

employed at Reliable Toyota Lexus Scion or BMW/Audi Springfield.<br />

Richard Glenn Staats Scholarship<br />

Anyone may apply. However, the award is based on the financial need <strong>of</strong> the student. This scholarship award is based<br />

on funds available.<br />

Robert and Frances Keever Trust<br />

Applicant must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. demonstrate financial need and be a native and/or long-term resident (at least<br />

six years) <strong>of</strong> one <strong>of</strong> the following counties: Barry, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Polk, Stone, Taney or Webster. Priority<br />

will be given to applicants enrolled in a technical and/or the Allied Health program. This scholarship may be used<br />

for tuition, fees and books and is available for fall and spring semesters. The amount each recipient(s) receives is dependent<br />

upon funds available.<br />

Rods & Relics Scholarship<br />

Applicant must demonstrate financial need and be enrolled as an automotive student.<br />

Roy W. Slusher Foundation<br />

Applicants must have a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies, enroll in at least 12 credit<br />

hours, and be seeking an Associate Degree or Certificate at OTC. If the applicant is not enrolled full-time a written<br />

explanation <strong>of</strong> their circumstances must accompany the scholarship application. All eligible applicants are encouraged<br />

to apply but due to the funding <strong>of</strong> this scholarship priority consideration will be given to applicants who live in Taney<br />

County (preferably Forsyth). The scholarship award will be based on the number <strong>of</strong> eligible applicants while the minimum<br />

amount provides $500 for students enrolled full-time.<br />

Russell “Kelly” Campbell Memorial Scholarship<br />

Applicant must be enrolled in the Networking Technology AAS degree, and have completed NET-102 prior to applying<br />

for this scholarship with an “A” average. This scholarship award is for $500 for one semester.<br />

Smith Glynn Callaway-Associate <strong>of</strong> Nursing<br />

Applicants must be enrolled and accepted into the Associate <strong>of</strong> Nursing program. Student must demonstrate financial<br />

need. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and/or books.<br />

Smith Glynn Callaway-Medical Lab Technician<br />

Applicants must be enrolled and accepted into the Medical Lab Technician Program. Student must demonstrate financial<br />

need. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and/or books.<br />

Society <strong>of</strong> Manufacturing Engineers<br />

Applicants must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A. and pursuing a drafting, machine technology or welding degree. Leadership<br />

skills are desirable. There are two awards, each for $300 and can be used for tuition, fees, and/or books.<br />

Southwest Missouri Code Officials<br />

Applicants must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. and enrolled as a full-time student in the Construction Technology program.<br />

Turner Family Foundation<br />

Applicants must have a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher in their high school and/or college studies, enroll in at least 6 credit hours<br />

and be seeking an Associate Degree or Certificate at OTC. All eligible applicants are encouraged to apply but due to<br />

the funding <strong>of</strong> this scholarship priority consideration will be given to current Mansfield High School graduates, past<br />

Mansfield High School graduates, Wright County High School graduates and finally all other Missouri High School/<br />

GED graduates. This scholarship award provides $500 for students enrolled in 6 to 11 credit hours, $1,000 for<br />

students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours, and $500 for students receiving the Missouri A+ program funding. Students<br />

receiving this scholarship must maintain a minimum 2.5 G.P.A. and remain in the designated hours <strong>of</strong> enrollment.<br />

This scholarship may be used for summer terms.<br />

William N. Bunselmeyer Memorial Scholarship<br />

Applicant must demonstrate financial need, enrolled in the Heating, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning (HRA) program<br />

and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. The recipient may receive the scholarship for up to two semesters, as long as the recipient<br />

maintains a 2.5 GPA and remains enrolled in the HRA program. This scholarship is $500 may be used for tuition,<br />

fees and books.

2. Complete your FASFA<br />

3. Submit an online OTC Foundation Scholarship Application: www.otc.edu/foundation/10963.php<br />

4. All information must be submitted or postmarked by June 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring<br />

semester.<br />

5. All scholarship recipients will be notified by mail <strong>of</strong> any awards.<br />

6. Scholarship awards are nontransferable and may affect eligibility for other financial assistance.<br />

7. Foundation scholarships are not renewable, therefore you must reapply each year. IF AWARDED A<br />

SCHOLARSHIP, YOU MUST SUBMIT A “THANK YOU” NOTE.<br />
