G-823A CESIUM MAGNETOMETEROOOAirborne and Vehicle Applications withMulti-Sensor Array CapabilityHigh Sensitivity ─ 0.004 nT/%Hz RMS withthe CM-201 Mini-CounterVery Low Heading Error ─ ±0.15nT over360˚ Equatorial and Polar spins. Systemssupplied with spin curves for gradiometerinstallation curve matchingO Versatility ─ CM-201 counter includes 6channel 12 bit A to D converters fordigitization of altimeter or other analogsignals, digital data stream concatenationOOOReliability and Ruggedness – Cesiummagnetometers never need be returned tofactory for calibration or tuning!Gradiometer arrays offering simultaneous operation of up to 8 separate sensors using the designed-inconcatenation of the CM-201 Internal Mini-counterGeometrics offers complete turnkey systems including Birds, Stingers, Wingtip installation accessories as well asDigital Data Acquisition Systems, Post Acquisition Magnetic Compensation Software, Flight Path Recovery, GPSNavigation, Gamma Ray Spectrometers, VLF EM and Post Acquisition Data Processing Software and training.Model G-823A includes the well proven highperformance G-822A sensor with the ultra-smallsize CM-201 Larmor counter. This advancedmodel (G-823A) provides unmatched versatility ofperformance, size, function, and costeffectiveness. The system has two outputs: thestandard Larmor sine wave superimposed on 28VDC power (uncounted for RMS AADCII or 822ASuper-Counter) or the Larmor signal counted, converted into nT(γ) and output as RS-232 forrecording by any standard computer. Thispowerful combination is also the basis for newspecialized models such as G-823B Base Station. The G-823A provides sensitivities of 0.002 nT at 1Hz up to 0.22 nT at 40 Hz which are selectable viasoftware command. Default configuration provides0.02 nT P-P (0.004 nT/%Hz RMS) at 10 samples persecond. In addition to the magnetometermeasurement, the CM-201 Counter also includesJulian / Time / Date, a provision to accept anexternal sync pulse and six A/D converters fordigitizing and recording signal amplitude, radar/barometric altimeter, EM or other analog data. Thetransmission format of all functions is also selectedby software command and may be customized foreach different job.The system's high performance and multi-functioncapability are excellent for mapping geologicstructure, for mining, oil and gas exploration andthe detection and delineation of target bodies forenvironmental, archaeological or military surveys.Detection ranges, target classification and precisionmapping are enhanced by the G-823A performanceand in some cases provide results not achievableby any other means. The G-823A meets thehighest standards for airborne, land or marinesurveys meeting rigorous vibration and temperatureenvironmental testing standards. Custom lengthcables and special packaging are available foreach of these applications. Critical heading errorperformance is documented and supplied for eachG-823A system.

Gradiometer sensor arrays are particularly effectivefor geologic mapping and target identification. TheG-823A provides ability to concatenate RS-232outputs from up to 8 sensor/counter assemblies intoa single digital stream, transmitted up a single cableand recorded on a single computer port. Each ofthese sensors is synchronized to within 1ms forsimultaneous measurement at high sample rates. The specialized Cesium components are stable anddo not require factory calibration. After years ofoperation, full conformance with original stringentspecifications can be expected. A full one yearwarranty is offered with every system.G-823BProducing sensors with extremely low heading error isan expensive and time consuming process. Sensorsthat do not meet our exacting heading error standardsare designated as G-823B’s. These units are identicalin all performance and reliability standards except forheading error where typical system specs (headingerrors specs are not supplied with the 823B). Thesesystems are offered for base station use (whereheading error is not an issue) at a significantly lowerprice. Systems come complete with interconnectcables, power/data splitter box and optional tripodwith nylon support wires.MODEL G-823A AIRBORNE CESIUM MAGNETOMETER SENSOR SPECIFICATIONSOPERATING PRINCIPLE:OPERATING RANGE:OPERATING ZONES:SENSITIVITY WITH CM-201:Self-oscillating split-beam Cesium Vapor (non-radioactive)20,000 to 100,000 nTThe earth=s field vector should be at an angle greater than 10E fromthe sensor=s equator and greater than 10E from the sensor=s longaxis.
