Before switchingon the PTO shaft, ensure that no-onecould be caught by the swather disk. When the PTO shaft is running, theswather arms may only be raised to justbefore their stops.4.1 Height of the tractor lower link armsThe height of the tractor lower link arms should be setso that the lower link arm pins areH approx. 58 cmabove the ground.Fix the lower link arms at this height.(see also Point 7.2)HKS-0-0884.2 Setting the working depthSwadro 651 and Swadro 761 mechanic versionThe working depth is set by means of the crank handles(1), located on the left- and right-hand swather diskarm.1Initially the working depth should be set so that the tinepoints just contact the ground. If necessary this settingmust be corrected during use.Note the following:When the setting is too high the feed will not becompletely harvested. When the setting is too low there is a risk that the feedwill be soiled, the greensward may be damaged andincreased wear of the twin-spring tines.KS-0-08928

Swadro 761 electric version5The working depth for the swather disks is adjusted viatwo drive motors.Switch 3 = left-hand swather diskSwitch 4 = right-hand swather diskSwitching on operation device.Pressing the switch > upwards= moves swather disk upwardsPressing the switch > downwards= lowers swather disk321MB KKRONE46KS-0-102The working depth should be set during use.Once depth adjustment is complete, switch offoperation device!Do not activate both switches simultaneously!29

4.3 Setting the working widthSwadro 761 mechanic versionThe desired working (raking) width can be preselectedby fitting pin (2) to one of the holes of the inner wing.1KS-761-009_1Close control valves (1) and (2).Open control valve (3).Before lowering the rotors to working position, extendthe rotor carrier arms up to the limit stop using thetractor hydraulics.213Swadro 761 electric versionThe working width of the swather arms is adjusted viatwo hydraulic cylinders.KS-761-003Switch on operation operation. The side to be adjusted is activated by turning Switch 5to the right or left. Then move the right- or left-hand deployment arm in therequired direction.354The working width of the swather arms should beadjusted during use.26Turn Switch 5 back to the neutral position (centralposition) once the procedure is complete and switch offoperation1MB KKRONEKS-0-102The distance from swather disks to the swath former:much feed = large distancelittle feed = small distanceThe forward speed depends on the working pattern =tidy tine work with good swath formation.30When initially actuating the width adjustmentor after prolonged breaks (e.g.winter storage), fully extend swatherdisks and put the tractor valves underpressure for at least 15 secs, so that thehydraulic accumulators on the adjustingcylinders are filled.

4.4 Setting the cam trackThe cam track is adjusted with the adjusting lever (1).Before adjustment, the hinge clip which secures theadjusting lever in the hole segment must be taken out.The adjusting lever can be repositioned in the hole rowby being gently raised. The following description applies for the right-handswather disk:• Pull out the hinge clip via the adjusting lever (1)• Raise adjusting lever and pivot inwards = tine barslift out later (e.g. swath turns/ narrow swaths)• Turn adjusting lever outwards =Tine bars lift out earlier (e.g. wide swaths)• Resecure adjusting lever after setting with the hingeclip. The left-hand swather disk is the mirror-image of theabove.1KS-0-0264.5 Setting the lateral inclinationof the swather disk chassisIn order to achieve an optimum finish, the traverseinclination of the swather disks can be altered. Plainwashers are provided on the chassis wheel bearings forthis purpose, which can be optionally mounted below orabove the chassis wheel bearing.Note: With heavy feed - set the chassis internally aslow as possible!24.6 Travel speed and drive r.p.m.The travel speed and drive r.p.m. are determined by:• the feed volume• the ground conditions• the drynessThe following should be taken as starting points:• PTO shaft speed approx. 450 r.p.m.• Forward speed approx. 6 - 8 km/hDrive r.p.m. and forward speed should be adapted tothe particular conditions each time.KS-0-03531

4.7 Stabilizers and rotor flotationSwadro 651When working on uneven ground at high speed, it isadvisable to increase the tension of the friction plates(1) of the rotor arm stabilizers to prevent any "hunting"of the rotors. The friction plates can be adjusted by tightening orreleasing screw (2).21Swadro 761 mechanic / electric versionWhen lifting at the turning strip, the swather disk shouldremain in a horizontal position. It is possible by tightening the eye bolt A to increasethe spring force which then reduces the force on thefront of the swather disk.On uneven ground and with a strong spring suspension, the swather disk could begin to oscillate andbecome unstable. This can be suppressed by morestrongly tightening the friction plates B on thestabilizers. For this, tighten the screws C of the friction plates B onthe stabilizing pipes.ABCKS-761-0124.8 Ground following of the rotorsThe ground pressure of each rotor undercarriage can beadjusted using eyebolt A:Release eyebolt A to increase ground pressure of theouter tyres of the undercarriage.Tighten eyebolt A to increase ground pressure of theinner tyres of the undercarriage.AKS-761-01132
