EPIDURAL ANAESTHESIA
LOR SYRINGES
• The polymedic LOR (loss of resistance) syringe was designed to offer the anaesthetist
the most enhanced reaction capacity using the Loss Of Resistance technique for
detection of the epidural space.
• Depending on the personal choice of each anaesthetist, the cylinder is available either
in PC (Polycarbonate) or in PP (Polypoprylene).
• The siliconized PP cylinder smoothens the gliding of the piston and at the same time
guarantees the tightness of the cylinder.
• The PC cylinder offers transparency and easy gliding of the piston similar to the features
of a glass syringe.
• Both PC and PP syringes are equipped with a PE piston with double O-ring in silicon,
assuring the tightness of the syringe during aspiration as well as injection.
• All versions are equipped with a centering ring at the proximal entry of the cylinder, to
avoid undesired withdrawal of the piston from the cylinder.
