The F<strong>or</strong>esters Brass Band, F<strong>or</strong>esters Brass2000, ign<strong>or</strong>ed the snow and made the journey downfrom Leicester, as did the handbell team from Surrey.While the weather did reduce the number of guestsable to attend, the 70 <strong>or</strong> so who made it th<strong>or</strong>oughlyenjoyed the afternoon.Father Christmas made adramatic entry on a full-sizesleigh, pulled by two elvesfrom the branch committee,distributing Christmasstockings f<strong>or</strong> the children.The musicians provideda selection of Christmasmusic, as well asaccompanying the audience in singing their favourite carols,and a few suitable w<strong>or</strong>ds were spoken by Cynthia Tud<strong>or</strong> t<strong>or</strong>emind everyone what Christmas is really about.
