David Walters wonthe highest strikes f<strong>or</strong> themen, while Margaret Evansand Wendy Wilf<strong>or</strong>d werejoint female winners.y<strong>or</strong>kshirePie, peas and… beetlesAnother successful Beetle Drive andquiz night was held in the Y<strong>or</strong>kshirearea, with 57 members attending.The fiercely contested game of Beetlewas won by Alex Wilf<strong>or</strong>d from CourtNo 332 and the quiz was won by CourtNo 3067’s Mel, Des, Lee and Beks.A pie and pea supper was servedand enjoyed by everyone bef<strong>or</strong>ethe raffle, which raised £222 f<strong>or</strong>Parkinson’s UK.n<strong>or</strong>th westernCentralMembers raised£222 f<strong>or</strong> charityChatsw<strong>or</strong>th Christmas frolicsCourt Chatsw<strong>or</strong>th defeated the severe winter weather to stage theirChristmas party in Chesterfield. Peter Tayl<strong>or</strong> was an inspired andinnovative Master of Ceremonies and had, of course, arranged a visitfrom Santa Claus. The adults and the juni<strong>or</strong>s perf<strong>or</strong>med a pantomimeeach – two, wow!Singing, dancing,gaming, laughing,playing: you name it,they did it, and thenhurried home bef<strong>or</strong>eit snowed again.Good company!The N<strong>or</strong>th Western area has been busy of late. Members enjoyeda night out at Belle Vue Races, the MUDSA Dinner (ManchesterUnited Disabled Supp<strong>or</strong>ters’Association) and a fivedaycoach trip to Scotland,staying at Loch Awe. Thefinal event of the year tookplace on 5th Decemberat Davyhulme Park GolfClub in Traff<strong>or</strong>d, where51 members and guestsattended the area lunch.The very sociable N<strong>or</strong>thWestern area meet upWelcoming new membersEveryone extended a very warm welcome to all the new membersfrom Court ‘Wychmalbank & St Chad’. It was f<strong>or</strong>merly part of theN<strong>or</strong>th Western area and membership has now been transferred intoCourt ‘Mo<strong>or</strong>lands’.The next branch meeting will be on 7th March at the Rudyard LakeHotel at 8pm.
