The $5,000annual scholarship was awarded to two Webb Institute students.Recipients are selected based on demonstrated leadership,academic achievement and financial need. Included in the photois RADM Tom Moore, NAVSEA PEO Aircraft Carriers, who was a station officer during the ship’s last refuelingoverhaul.“It has been great to see many of the same people who kept the Enterprise running all these years, be thesame people that use their expertise to prepare for her inactivation,” said David Long, CVN 65 Repair andInactivation program director. “During the next 12 months, various stories will be published to continue to honorthe great shipbuilders that have sacrificed for 50 years to keep the most impressive piece of equipment in theworld running as good as any other.
