EMIS Technical Specification
2 Introduction
2.1 Background
The Streamline EFTPOS Electronic Management Information Service (EMIS) comprises all
EFTPOS related information currently available for collection from Streamline in a data file
format. EMIS is available to merchants acquired by Streamline Merchant Services (UK
domestic) and Streamline International; however not all of the following information is
available to all merchants. The information includes:
• Request For Information letters
• Chargeback letters
• Streamline Settlement Reconciliation
• Currency Reconciliation Summary
• Streamline Merchant Invoice Information
• Paper Processed Transaction information
• Fraud details
• Key entered transaction details
• Key entered transaction summary
• Purchase with cash back information
• Transaction authorisation information
• Card Scheme BIN ranges
• Scanned response to 'Request For Information' (RFIs)
Full details of each file’s availability, content and layout are covered in this document along
with the various communication methods that can be used to collect the data.
2.2 Purpose
The purpose of this document is:
i) to specify what information is available to which merchants
ii) to outline the format and content of each file available
ii) to detail the design and technical specification of EMIS.
iii) to advise how this information can be accessed or collected.
