STREAMLINE MERCHANT SERVICES EMIS Technical Specification 9 CURRENCY RECONCILIATION SUMMARY (Available to Streamline International acquired merchants only) 9.1 File Contents The Currency Reconciliation Summary comprises 3 files produced each weekday. Subject to suitable linkages in the system, multiple company files can be produced as well as those for individual merchants. 9.2 File Structure The files are ASCII text, fields are comma separated or fixed format. Each file has a unique name that includes the date of the file. All fields are positional and of fixed length. The file is structured and sequenced as follows: Daily Currency Settlement Summary i) File header (00) ii) Detail Record - Settlement Summary by Card Scheme (01) iii) Detail Record - Settlement SubTotals (01) iv) Detail Record – Chargeback Details (02) v) Detail Record – Chargeback Sub Totals (02) vi) Detail Record – Settlement Totals (03) Monthly Currency Settlement Summary i) File header (00) ii) Detail Record - Settlement Summary by Day for Current Month (01) iii) Detail Record - Settlement Summary Month To Date (02) Monthly Currency Settlement Summary i) File header (00) ii) Detail Record - Daily Summary by Outlet (01) Record details are as described in Appendix C.3 for Streamline International acquired merchants only. 9.3 Availability The file will be available for collection from Streamline at a time advised by Harrogate Merchant Service Operations on UK Banking days, between Monday and Friday. STREAMLINE MERCHANT SERVICES EMIS Technical Specification 10 STREAMLINE INVOICE INFORMATION (Available to SMS acquired merchants only) 10.1 File Contents The Streamline Invoice file is produced at the start of each month, for each Streamline company number, the file contents will be particularly useful for merchants who have elected to have invoicing set at outlet level. The file will contain a record for charges and, where applicable, a record for deposits for each outlet ID within the company. The file can be ordered at either company or group level and will contain outlet information. The information within this file can also be found on the actual Streamline Invoices that will be distributed at the start of each month. 10.2 File Structure The file is in standard EBCDIC text if collected directly from the MVS Mainframe, otherwise data is in standard ASCII text, see table in section 4.4 Data Format. Two file types are available: FIXED and VARIABLE: - VARIABLE: All fields are comma separated and some may be of variable length. FIXED: A fixed length file with defined field lengths. The file is structured and sequenced as follows: i) File header (00) One per file. ii) Summary of Charges (01) One per outlet. iii) Summary of Deposit (02) One per outlet. iv) Miscellaneous charges (03) One per outlet. v) File Trailer (99) One per file. Record details are as described in Appendix A.3. Where data transmission software restricts record lengths to 80 bytes, records can be split. Contact Streamline to assess impact and time-scales. 10.3 Reconciliation 10.3.1 Totals 10.3.2 Dates The file trailer contains a record count of the file. The creation date of the file will be contained within the file name, allowing the merchant to collect a backlog of files, if needed. Historic files, up to a year old, will be available on request.
