<strong>The</strong> <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Education</strong>, <strong>Rochelle</strong> <strong>Elementary</strong> <strong>District</strong> <strong>#231</strong>, <strong>met</strong> <strong>in</strong> regular session onTuesday, March 15, 2011, <strong>in</strong> the middle school media center. President Tess called themeet<strong>in</strong>g to order at 7 PM with the follow<strong>in</strong>g members answer<strong>in</strong>g roll: T. W<strong>in</strong>ebaugh, R.Burke, D. Kessen, S. Reif. Also <strong>in</strong> attendance: T. Prusator, supt. Absent: D. Casey, S.Pfeiffer.APPROVAL OF AGENDA – R. Burke made and D. Kessen seconded a motion toapprove the agenda as presented.Yes: 5; No: 0APPROVAL OF MINUTES – R. Burke made and S. Reif seconded a motion to approvethe m<strong>in</strong>utes from the February 8, 2011, meet<strong>in</strong>g as presented.Yes: 5; No: 0COMMUNICATIONS - 1) Those who must file a statement <strong>of</strong> economic <strong>in</strong>terest wererem<strong>in</strong>ded that they must be filed with the County Clerk by May 1, 2011. 2) <strong>The</strong><strong>Rochelle</strong> League <strong>of</strong> Women Voters and <strong>Rochelle</strong> Area Chamber <strong>of</strong> Commerce State <strong>of</strong>the Community D<strong>in</strong>ner will be March 17, 2011. 3) Supt. Prusator <strong>in</strong>formed the <strong>Board</strong>that the Crawford Pancake Breakfast/RMS Science Fair on March 12 th had a goodturnout. Joanna Sharp, Director <strong>of</strong> Instructional Services, po<strong>in</strong>ted out that the counselorsput on a Resource Fair and the Academic Enrichment Fair were also on Saturday andwere a success. 4) <strong>The</strong> Regional Spell<strong>in</strong>g Bee w<strong>in</strong>ner was Paige Myroth, 6 th grade. Thisis the second consecutive year she has won the regional. 5) D. Kessen read a thank younote from the Central School staff thank<strong>in</strong>g the <strong>Board</strong> for the Subway luncheon provided<strong>in</strong> December.S. Pfeiffer and D. Casey entered the meet<strong>in</strong>g at 7:04 PM.FINANCIAL REPORTS – Accepted for study.PERFECT MATCH – ELL PROGRAM REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATIONS –Joanna Sharp, Director <strong>of</strong> Instructional Services, gave a presentation on the <strong>District</strong>’sPerfect Match/ELL program. Parent/BPAC member, Andria Price, thanked Ms. Sharpfor all her work with bil<strong>in</strong>gual program <strong>in</strong> the <strong>District</strong>.CLOSED SESSION – S.
