The SONIC START ® STREAMLINE isjust that – streamlined. Smith & Lovelesshas created a prime sensing system thatvirtually eliminates routine maintenance. The SONIC START ® STREAMLINErelocates the larger ported 2-way solenoidvalve from the vacuum pump or controlpanel piping arrangement to just abovethe vacuum dome, eliminating 50% ofthe vacuum fitting connection points. Thistakes the sewage pump pressure off ofthe vacuum tubing and tubing fittings. The remaining vacuum connections nowonly experience vacuum pressure ratherthan the full Smith & Loveless sewagepump’s pressure. The SONIC START ®STREAMLINE design stops liquid anddebris from going beyond the vacuumdome, thus eliminating routine cleaningof the solenoid valve and replacement ofthe vapor filter. This extends the alreadylong life of the solenoid valves and vacuumpumps. The new SONIC START ® STREAMLINEPrime Sensing System has been fieldtestedside-by-side with the original SONICSTART ® System on more than 25 pumpinstallations since November 2007.“I haven’t had to do anything to that pumpwith the test unit on it since it was installedback in November of 2007,” said TonyLeighton, Olathe, Kansas. “They (S&L R&D)said to leave it alone and it has worked sowell that I’ve been able to do just that.”All vacuum primed pumps, rotatingassemblies, and pump stations orderedafter Jan. 26, 2009 will feature the newSONIC START ® STREAMLINE PrimeSensing System.Smith & Loveless introduced the innovativeSONIC START ® Prime Sensing System inContinued on page 15Order Locally From Your Smith & Loveless Representative 3
