High on kite flying26 February 2011, SingaporeOn 26 February 2011, <strong>ST</strong> <strong>Electronics</strong>(Info-Comm Systems) invitedcustomers and their families to a dayof kite flying at Singapore’s MarinaBarrage to mark the InternationalKite Day.Customers received from theorganiser, picnic mats and colourfulkites featuring different designs andmotifs. With these, they were readyfor a day of fun with their familiesin the open green field speciallycordoned off for the company’s kiteflying event.International kite experts were broughtin for this event, with help from theSingapore Kite Association. Theseexperts demonstrated their skills inflying giant kites, long train kites andother stunt kites. As dusk fell, dazzlingLED kites illuminated the night sky,providing everyone a spectacular sightwith the Singapore city skyline as abackdrop.There was also a kite makingworkshop and a Marina Barrage tourfor the customers and their families.It was indeed an enjoyable andmemorable event for all present.Festive cheer for the elderly12 February 2011, Singaporehomemade Yusheng – a traditional Chinese New Yeardish – at the Home’s kitchen. Staff and their familiesplayed games, provided massages and chatted with theelderly. The event was a meaningful experience for boththe Home’s residents as well as <strong>ST</strong> <strong>Electronics</strong> staff, andwas yet another example of the Group’s commitment tobeing a good corporate citizen.<strong>ST</strong> <strong>Electronics</strong> (Info-Comm Systems)’s staff and theirfamilies together with the company’s President, Mr AndrewChow started the Chinese New Year by bringing joy andlaughter to the elderly residents of St Andrew’s CathedralHome for the Aged in Singapore.The visit was very well-received by the Home’s residents.Festive food items, gifts and red packets were brought bythe well-wishers to the Home.
