If for any reasonstandard products do not suit, we can manufacturespecial types subject to requirement.All stock products of steel are hot dip galvanizedto offer best possible rust protection. Escape Ways<strong>Weland</strong> cat ladders are approved in accordancewith SS 83 13 40 and SS-EN ISO14122-4. Fixed cat ladders are required forfaçade heights exceeding 4 m. The bottomend of cat ladders should be arranged at asuitable height above ground depending onthe accessibility required, but maximum1.5 metres above ground.<strong>Weland</strong> cat ladders are suitable for accessto towers, silos, bridge piers, chimneys etc.In case of high ladders, rest landings shouldbe provided. If hoop guards are mounted,these should end maximum 2.5 metresabove ground. We recommend that catladders exceeding 6 metres height shouldbe provided with hoop guards and restlandings.If escape ladders are combined with escapelandings, they must be provided with hoopguards to prevent stepping out into openspace.www.weland.co.uk3

Folding <strong>Cat</strong> LadderFolding cat ladder of hot dip galvanized steel. In order to achieve a smoothand appealing surface the ladders are grey colour powder coated as standard.It can be mounted on all types of building, and when folded against thefaçade, looks just like a 45 mm wide bar.
