Creased-concreteThe aspects of individuality and expressivenessare to be taken into considerationalready at the stage of the stylistic concept. Thanks to its mechanical and plastic properties, the concrete gives to the architectnearly infinite design possibilities.RECKLI-formliners broaden considerablythis large scope since their elasticitymakes a disruption-free stripping possiblealso for highly complicated patterns: theoffice building “Le Trema” in Asnières nextto Paris provides an impressive example. The building is situated in an exposedlocation direct on the Seine and has a surfaceof about 16.000 m 2 , which covers 2deep basements and 6 main floors. Thecombination of modern glass with texturedconcrete façades gives to the edifice aspecial individual touch. The architecture office J.J. Ory in Parischoose 2 patterns from our standardRECKLI-Formliners program for the configurationof the approx. 4.700 m 2 large concretefaçade: 1/34 Rib Type F and 2/125Dordogne. While the rib pattern has beenused exclusively for the ground floor area, the façade of the remaining floors havebeen structured with an abstract RECKLIpattern. This contrast is emphasized through a differentlycoloured surface modulation. The1/125 Dordogne looks like creased paperand gives the façade a bright and dynamicnature. The natural game between light andshade is strongly emphasized and dependingon the sunbeam and the incidence oflight, the pattern is alternately stressed orpressed in the background. The executive building contractorBouygues Batiment has used more than400 m 2 of RECKLI-formliners for the productionin situ of the concrete façades. Inthis context the reusability of the formlinershas proved itself once again advantageousnot only in the precast concrete constructionbut also in the in situ production.RECKLI-formliners are available in morethan 180 standard patterns and guaranteeup to 100 reuses. At the same time RECKLIrealises one off formliners according to specialdrawings and requests. The field ofapplication for the elastic RECKLI-formlinersextends from façades, over bridgesund walls up to noise barrier walls.RECKLI helps the architects putting theirinventiveness workmanlike and economicallyinto practice.Predominated through straight horizontallines, the ground floor is therefore setagainst to the concrete surface of theupper storeys with their apparent coincidentallyarranged lines, creases and wells.
