How to Define the FDT? (2)The FDT consists of six parameters for you todefine the structure of the records in yourdatabaseTAG: a uniquenumeric valueNAME: The namelabel by which theuser identifies the fieldTYPE: 3 different types(Alphanumeric,Alphabetic, Numeric)can be selected byclicking on the arrowhereREP: to define whether thefield is repeatable or notPATTERN/SUBFIELDS: todefine sub fields or patternUNESCO ICTLIP Module 4. How Do You Modify FDT? By clicking on the relevant line, the relatedcomponent will open, e.g. clicking on FieldDefinition Table will open the FDT Here you canadd any otherfieldsUNESCO ICTLIP Module 4. Lesson 3 29
