• Sample size not met – Type I error? Limitations • Difference in baseline event rates – 90% vs 70% capture rate • Confounding variables – Differing levels <strong>of</strong> patient acuity – Inter-­‐preceptor/inter-­‐resident variability • Time requirement for study paperwork


Conclusion • <strong>FASTHUG</strong>-­‐<strong>MAIDENS</strong> may be effective for promoting increased DRP capture rate when used in the ICU
