Pleasant businesses andcommunity leaders know Bret Hyble.The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber ofCommerce is pleased to introduce Bret astheir new President and CEO. He comes to theChamber with over 15 years of experience inthe service industry as a manager and developmentadministrator. Bret has extensive workexperience directly related to the marketing,event planning and membership developmentneeds of the Chamber.Bret most recently served Sacred HeartAcademy and Parish as the Director of Developmentwith responsibility for all fundraisingefforts. Prior to Sacred Heart, he wasemployed at Central Michigan University andinvolved with many aspects of athletic developmentincluding major gifts, event managementand the membership based organization,the Chippewa Club.“I am very excited to join the Chamber intheir efforts to support and promote our localbusinesses as well as helping to build a strong,attractive community. Mt. Pleasant has somany activities and productive businesses tooffer to the public. This community continuesto grow and truly has become a place wherepeople want to live and enjoy all the area hasto offer,” states Bret Hyble.Bret holds a Masters and Bachelor’sdegree from Central Michigan Universityand is especially fond of his involvementas a player for CMU Football in which theywon back to back Mid-American ConferenceChampionships. He is married to Carol andthey have two boys, Brooks and Colton.“As a Chamber we need to continue toexpand the collaboration with local businesses,the Convention & Visitors Bureau, the city,county and township organizations as wellas CMU and the Saginaw Chippewa IndianTribe. We are here to support their growth anddiversity to make our community a desirableplace to live,” explains Bret. “We need tolisten to our Chamber members on how bestwe can serve them. PleasántThree Community Members Volunteer as Co-Race DirectorsThis June the Chamber celebrates the 5th Annual LeTour de Mont Pleasánt on June 7th, 8th and 9th! Lisa Hadden,previous Chamber President & CEO, will serve as a Race Co-Director on a volunteer basis along with two new communityvolunteer Race Directors. Ben Rollenhagen, Instructor andPED/Sports Skill of Fitness at CMU and a local cyclist states,“It is a pleasure and honor to serve as a Co-Director for thisyear’s Le Tour de Mont Pleasánt. This is, in my experience asa racer, one of the most unique, most challenging and just plainfun set of races in the state. I am very excited to work withthe other directors to bring the race to Mt Pleasant for yetanother year!”Be a Volunteer forLe Tour de Mont Pleasánt!Join us on June 7th, 8th and 9th for thisone of a kind national bicycle race! Thereare multiple ways to get involved while beinga volunteer! You could help register thecyclists, set up the course, or even be a roadmarshal. This is a great opportunity to makefriends, become involved with the community,learn about professional cycling orboost your resume! Bill states, “I am proud to be involvedwith Le Tour de Mont Pleasánt, it is evolving into one of thepremier races in the Midwest.
