Annual Report 2011Table 1 Applications for Registration Presented to Board by ScheduleNew registrationsIn 2010-2011, 923 new teachers were registered in the Northern Territory. Just on 60% of newteachers registering in the NT did so under the Mutual Recognition (MR) arrangement, whichis 5% higher than the previous financial year. A significant majority of MR applicants wereregistered in the first state with either the Queensland College of Teachers or the VictorianInstitute of Teaching. Graduates from Charles Darwin University made up 11% (100) of allnew registrations and there were 6 graduates registered from the Batchelor Institute ofIndigenous Tertiary Education.20
