Day One Vancouver - Albuquerque Meals: R<br />

Travel south with United Airlines from Vancouver to Albuquerque, New<br />

Mexico. The two night stay is at the Best Western Rio Grande Inn located<br />

in Old Town Albuquerque. Enjoy a welcome reception upon arrival.<br />

Day Two Albuquerque Meals: B<br />

This morning visit Old Town, the site of Albuquerque’s founding in 1706, noted<br />

for Pueblo-Spanish style architecture. Stroll along the brick paths to more<br />

than 150 stores, galleries, restaurants and museums. Visit the Turquoise<br />

Museum, uncover the mystery of turquoise, delve into its rich history and learn<br />

about different mines and colourful characters.<br />

Day Three Albuquerque – Santa Fe Meals: B, D<br />

Experience Albuquerque’s International Balloon Fiesta. It is the world’s<br />

largest hot air balloon fiesta where you’ll see the mass ascension of more<br />

than 700 balloons in the sky and is considered to be the most photographed<br />

event in the world. After spending the morning at this amazing fiesta travel<br />

by coach to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center to learn of the unique history<br />

of each of New Mexico’s 19 Pueblos. It’s just an hours drive to Santa Fe for<br />

a five night stay at La Fonda Hotel with its pueblo-style Spanish architecture<br />

and décor, luxurious, inviting ambience and warm hospitality. Enjoy a dinner<br />

together at the hotel’s restaurant.<br />

Day Four Santa Fe Meals: B<br />

Santa Fe is a world-renowned travel destination unparalleled in richness of<br />

history, heritage, arts and culture. With more than 250 galleries to explore,<br />

you will be astonished by the city’s array of art, including traditional and<br />

contemporary painting, photography, pottery, sculpture, textiles and more.<br />

Santa Fe’s Native American and Spanish Colonial roots are reflected in many<br />

of the galleries. With a local guide enjoy a walking tour of this downtown<br />

community. This afternoon there is a visit to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum.<br />

Georgia O’Keeffe is a world renowned artist who made her home outside<br />

Santa Fe.<br />

Day Five Santa Fe Meals: B<br />

Today is a free day in Santa Fe to visit the many galleries and local museums<br />

or explore the Santa Fe shops.<br />

Day Six Santa Fe - Taos - Santa Fe Meals: B<br />

Travel north with a local guide to the community of Taos, New Mexico. Taos<br />

Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World<br />

Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark. The multi-storied<br />

adobe buildings have been continuously<br />

inhabited for over 1000 years. This tour<br />

includes a stop at Rancho de Taos,<br />

an opportunity to view the Centinela<br />

weavers and a visit to Sanctuario de<br />

Chimayo (a church with miraculous<br />

dirt). There will be free time and lunch<br />

on your own in Taos.<br />

Day Seven: Santa Fe - Ghost Ranch /<br />
