Council Meeting were held on 16 th October 2011 intwo sessions at R.V. Teachers College Jayanagarto review the work status and progress with regardto activities of the Prant and Shakhas, with specialreference to the arrangements for the conduct of37 th NGSC and also to discuss organizationalmatters. The meetings were well attended andmarked by lively and fruitful discussions. Both thesessions were addressed by Shri B.C.H.V. (AswiniSubharao, National vice President Zone XV to XVII).TRIPURAAgartala : Vijoya sammelan, on the occasionof Shri Maata Dasavuja durga puja festivalcelebration for this year, was held at the residenceof the State Vice President on 23.10.2011. Morethan 50 members and guests were present. Famousartists Smt. Nivedita Deb & Smt. Manidipa Debsang a melodius song. <strong>Bharat</strong> Gourav and eminentscholar of Sanskrit Literature Prof. Dr. Sitanath Deywas the main speaker as a chief guest. He deliveredhis speech citing various examples regarding defeatof evil-doers by the great matrishakti.Shri ChittaRanjan Chakraborty also spoke citing the examplesfrom Geeta . Vatridwitiya utsav was jointly organizedby the lady members of Agartala City East & Westbranches at the conference Hall of TripureswariShishu Mandir School on 30.10.2011. The functionwas inaugurated by <strong>Bharat</strong> Gourav Prof. Dr. Sitanathand Educationist and social worker Shri DipakKumar Bhattacharyya. The main speaker Prof.Sitanath Dey delivered his invaluable speech citingspiritual aspects from the great and world famousRIG VED. N E Region Zonal Sanskar Secretary Smt.Jaba Dhar was the anchor.ASSAMKarimganj : Prant and Krishi Vigyan Kendrajointly organized an agricultural awareness cumtraining camp integrated nutrient management (INM)on tomato at vill. Nayagram on 16.11.2011. Md.Mustiqur Rahman Choudhury and Himadri SekharDutt, subject matter specialist of Krishi VigyanKendra, conducted the camp. Altogether 22 farmersattended the camp. Exercise books & pens wereprovided to the participants.Jorhat : The BKJ quiz competition was heldon 16.10.2011. Altogether 14 groups (i.e. 28students) joined this competition. On 04.09.2011the NGSC was also held where 11 teams (of 9schools) participated and Maharishi Vidya MandirSchool came out successfull as best team and wasselected to participate at the state level NGSCcompetition at Guwahati.DELHI EASTMadhu Vihar : Branch organised Durga pujaDandia dance cum Diwali mela for the help of poorhandicapped persons by giving aid to their ownHospital at Tahirpur foundation. At present thehospital provides artificial limbs and eye catractesoperation free of cost. It also provides all pathalogytests, cat scan, MRI at very cheap rates. It alsoprovides mobile mortuary facility and mokshvahiniservices. President Hemant Kumar Gupta greetedall on this occasion. He also thanked Ajay KumarAgarwal to become trustee of Delhi BVP foundation.In dance all the dignitories of IP extensionparticipated and greeted each other includingNaseeb Singh MLA, Smt. Manju Gupta MLC,Gurcharan Singh Raju, Smt. Parul Goel etc. Dandiadance was presented by lady members underguidance of Smt. Suman Gupta and Smt. ParulGupta. Prizes were also given to best dancer andlucky draw winners. Branch provided breakfast to1000 students at Arya Anathalaya Pataudi Houseon 1 st November 2011. This programme wassponsored by Abhaya Jain.DELHI SOUTH<strong>Jan</strong>akpuri Main : On 11th November 2011branch organized a drawing competition. 132students from 11schools participated in thecompetition.
