Rotherham will have
first multisport venue
The first Venture Xtreme project is to be at
Rotherham and will feature an Olympic standard slalom
course as well as a host of other sports from simulated
skydiving to a dive tank via the world’s largest ice wall,
BMX track, snow room and the country’s longest zip
slide and first indoor surf centre. There will also be
conference, hotel and leisure attractions plus specialist
sports retail outlets. One of the prime movers is Steve
Jones, who competed in canoeing to international level.
