2 APPLICATIONAquastop by VenezianiAquastop consists of a solventfreemixture of epoxy resins, withthe following features:• Very high impermeability• High thickness (can be appliedat 200 microns per coat withoutsagging) Aquastop provides excellentprotection against osmosisboth as a preventive treatmentfor new boats and as a repairtreatment for damaged boats.If a boat has been damaged byosmosis, the best advise is tocontact one of the VenezianiSpecialized Application Centers.Our Main Technical Department isat your disposal for informationand advice.Aquastop has been formulatedwith a tinting pigment. After applicationit shows a clear light bluecolor. This coloration is useful duringpainting to understand howmuch product is being applied:the higher the thickness, thedarker the color. Aquastop shouldbe applied within a temperaturerange of 15° to 35° C and at a relativehumidity below 70%. If duringthe drying period there is anabrupt change of climatic condition,this may cause the formationof a sticky layer (amine blushing),which is easy to removewith water and an abrasive sponge.Wait until dry before resumingthe application of the coating system.If the 48 hours of maximumrecoat time are exceeded,the last coat must be properlysanded before recoating.AQUASTOPBarrier coat for anti-osmosisprotectionCHARACTERISTICSAquastop is a barrier coat with highimpermeability designed specificallyfor the treatment of GRPboat hulls affected by osmosis aswell as for preventive treatmentagainst osmosis.
