InWEnt as a partner to business
InWEnt enjoys close ties to the German business community. It is
an important partner for us – and vice versa. InWEnt supports German
firms in their commitment to helping developing and transition
countries. We promote international contacts that in turn promote
the sustainable development of German and foreign firms.
Our capacity building programmes advance international competitiveness
and create opportunities for contact to executives abroad.
As such they are useful to the German business community. German
firms that want to successfully participate in foreign markets
and world trade need international business knowledge and employees
with intercultural skills. Small and medium-sized enterprises
often lack the capacity to train their employees for such activities.
InWEnt’s range of capacity building programmes provides the desired
experience and qualifications, supporting firms in their efforts
to increase their export relationships.
Investments in capacity building pay dividends to German businesses,
and are an important factor for their long-term success on
foreign markets.
Public Private Partnerships
InWEnt is increasingly focussing on the successful public private
partnership (PPP) model, where private and public partners complement
each other on common projects. German firms contribute
their technical knowledge, human resources and dedication
to achieving German development policy goals. For our part, we
at InWEnt offer these partnerships our know-how in international
human resource development and intercultural experience
and access to our worldwide networks. Offices in Brussels, Dar es
Salaam, Hanoi, Jakarta, Cairo, Kiev, Lima, Managua, Moscow, New
Delhi, Peking, Pretoria and São Paulo, plus our partner offices in
the USA and Japan, put us on location and in direct connection to
our project partners. Public private partnerships have advantages
for both parties. They allow economic, social and ecological goals to
be achieved more successfully, quickly and economically.
