This meet is an excellent meet for the younger swimmers. They will get a taste of meet competition in a<br />
well-organized meet. Most swimmers get “best times” in their events at this meet. Each swimmer pays a fee for<br />
each event chosen. (4 event max.) If your swimmer is placed on a relay team, FHST will pay the fee.<br />

Each swimmer will swim all the events in the following order, butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle,<br />
and, I.M. The 6 & under group swims a double distance free in place of I.M. The Saturday schedule includes 9/10<br />
girls, 7/8 girls and boys, and 6 & under girls and boys, in that order. The Sunday schedule includes 9/10 boys, 11/12<br />
girls and boys, 13/14 girls and boys, and 15/18 men and women, in that order.<br />

The Concord City Meet is held over three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). For all individual events<br />
except IM, there are preliminary heats and then finals. There are A and B divisions for each individual event at the<br />
meet. <strong>Swim</strong>mers are placed based on their best times at the time that entries are due. The heats are divided in half<br />
with the fastest half assigned the A division. In addition, the three fastest heats are “circle-seeded”. This means<br />
that the 30 fastest swimmers in each event are evenly distributed between the last three heats. There are finals in<br />
both the A and B divisions. We consider this as our final BIG TEAM MEET. This is your last opportunity to earn a<br />
medal time and best times. We have heard that this is one of the most fun <strong>meets</strong> of the year with competitive team<br />
spirit opportunities. We look forward to showing FHST at its best!<br />
