But the Walking Group is still continuing.We wont be meeting every week, but will meet at least oncea month. We finish up each session with a cup of jo at a localwatering hole.The schedule is as follows:Sunday, October 14, 2012Richmond Nature Park – meet at the parking lot onWestminster Highway (between Shell Road & No 5 Road)11:00 am. At the end of the walk, you can join in the ChiliCook-off for only $5.Sunday, November 11, 2012Valley Trail in Whistler – meet at the Cabin at 9:30 am. Explore some of the parks200 acres made up of a pond, bog and paper birch forest, notto mention the owls and migratory birds that fall brings.While you’re working up an appetite on the trails, our chefswill be preparing their best chili fare in hopes of bringinghome the silver spoon. Our defending champ is CherylAnderson who made a fantastic green chili last year. It worked so well last time, we’re doingit again!! This time we’ll be sampling specialty beers fromoutside of BC as well as a few brewed right here. Haven’tdecided on the whiskies yet, but there will be a little bit ofSpeyside honey and Islay peat. Regardless, you know they’llbe good!There will be appies and finger foods available betweensamplings to keep us going during the night. We’ll head forthe Academic up the street around 11, to make sure I don’tget kicked out by the strata!The amount of whisky in a bottle is limited, so is the numberof people who can attend this event. The event size is cut offat 25 people, first come, first serve. Sign up early if you wantto attend this event. On the downside, if you don’t sign upearly, it may be canceled.
